Future Nurses to be HELLO!!!!! I'm new to this allnurses website, but so far I love it!!
Must haves...Hot tea with honey, Penlight, Drug book, cell phone (even though it's not allowed), watch, stethoscope, black ink pen and lab coat.
Has for lecture.....hmmm, hot tea and honey again...lol, books, colored pens is a must, lap top is helpful at times and definitely something to record important lectures if Instructor is going over an exam or maybe doing a review session..also healthy food snacks like nuts, fruit, carrot sticks, celery, oh yes, Chocolate is always good!!!
Quick question, Senior year of nursing I am hearing horror stories about Psych Mental health nursing and Nursing Research. Stories more so that many people flunk out senior year, not to work on a job because senior year is the hardest, etc. My nursing program I thought was hard the first year. Second year wasn't so bad ...Med/surg, but now going into this 3rd year (6th & 7th) semester of nursing, I don't know why I'm feeling so freaked out!!! How are you guys preparing for psych-mental health?
@tag2007...that's awesome. i have the test success book for nursing students too. it has really come in handy for me. its already making me think critically and that's not easy for me. i was always just good at memorizing stuff so this will be something of a challenge. i can't wait because i start classes august 22!
very great ideas !!!! you remind me that i have to bring my hoodie too ! i'm always cold in class. i almost wish i can bring my snuggie, lol. i can't live without my planner either.
one change i will make this year is not to bring my textbooks to class but only when i study. i almost never study right after class due to my brain being fried after a 4 hour lecture. so i plan to travel light this semester.
thanks!
a pillow and blankie is more like it.... man cna class get boring & dry sometimes hahah.
um, ya, ive never understood why some of my classmates feel the need to carry all the **** around that they tell us to have...its obscene, i dont care how much you study there is no reason to bring a 2000 page book to class !
hoodies are a must!!!... oh and in the winter when i have my scarf it makes a wonderful makeshift pillow hahah
