About the income investment statements...........the market is so unstable that it is probably safer to go with a more stable investment like gold, silver, real estate and such as that.............seriously.............:crying2:

Hi! All,

I am a RN with 33 yrs. of ICU, supervisory and teaching experience. Personally, I believe salary transparency is an important, GOOD thing. Clinical ladders are gaining in popularity, (more pay for greater experience and coursework), and the critical, nation wide nurse shortage does nothing but get worse. I teach half-time for a CNA program, have one more 3 credit course and 1 exam for my permanent certification and make $20,100. Unpaid prep time is in part balanced out by the school calendar, you can't beat weekends, holidays and summers off. When I worked per diem supervision, I made $25/hr, no benefits. New York State just passed a law that takes effect July 1st, 2009, prohibiting licensed nurses from being forced to work mandatory overtime. Thank God.

I am an 'LVN' (Texas). I hold a salaried position at an Assisted Living and I make 57,720 annually. This breaks down to about $27.75/hour.

I am an RN and work as Health Service Administrator at a private prison in TN. I started at $75,000/yr. salaried. I will ask for and expect to receive a 10% raise at my next eval.

Specializes in LTC, Urology, Gastroenterology, Hospice.

I live in Georgia and work in hospice and make 19.86/hour part-time as a LPN. Not too bad and the job is wonderful!

Specializes in Long term care & rehab.

I can make from $15 dollars up to $28 per hour, depending on a facility or agency travel assignments!

Currently I am on unemployment, and it is a pain in the you know what to not be able to pay all the bills!!!

Even though I have already applied for more than eight jobs in Washington and Arizona!!!

P.S.S. Now I have seven state licenses, not all active, but that can change!!!
