MTSA 2020

Hello all!

I am going to be applying for MTSA's doctorate program for nurse anesthesia. The application opens in January of 2019. Just wondering if anyone else out there is going to be applying? I just finished my first year of nursing in a Level 2 Trauma ICU! By the time I apply I will have about a year and a half of nursing experience. Hopefully this will be enough!

No doubt. It’s all encompassing. Like literally: I cannot stop thinking/worrying/wondering about it. ??

Same here ugh ? we’ve all wanted this for so long! And I’m extremely nervous for the results lol. But I’ve warmed up to the idea that if I don’t get in, then it wasn’t meant to be yet. YET. And if I have to get another year of experience. Then that’s ok

Yessss! But, it’d be really great if it was this time lol? was this your first interview?

I wish we had a better idea of when we would be notified on Thursday. I mean, we were in the first group so does that mean we might be notified yay or nay first? Do they call in alphabetical order? What’s the method to all the madness?

I would assume the emails could be sent all at once notifying us of not getting in. Whereas the phone calls have to literally be made on an individual basis. Oh well. Hurry up and wait.

So I know a girl in the program and she said she was caked last minute on the day they were supposed to hear calls. Like at the very end. And her interview was on the last day. So I’m thinking they cal in order if interview days! Because she said it is definitely not alphabetical order.

Had my interview this morning. They very welcoming and warm. It was definitely not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
