Hello everyone,
I decided to make this post to connect with others who will be applying to Mt. Sac's program for the Spring of 2019. After calculating my points for the multicriteria screening I'm currently at 52 points before the Hesi. I'm scheduled to take the Hesi on the 31st. Really hoping to end up with 77-80 points, I've read that the cutoff is usually around 77 points so I'm praying that will be the case this year as well. Although I saw a comment on the Fall 2018 thread & someone got in with 72 points as an alternate. I'll also be applying to Chaffey, San Bernardino Valley & Western Governors University.
Good luck everyone!
Oh I'm sorry, I was not inquiring about ranking.
I meant will the nursing department send out rejections letters as well as acceptance letters?
I applied pretty late due taking physiology in the summer at Mt. Sac and the Hess a few days later..
I believe I had 74 points although I applied in mid-August

Right now I believe they are sending out emails to let students know if they make it to the next step which is counseling appointments for verification of documentation that involves transcripts.
The counselor that i had yesterday said they weren't allowed to disclose any information but did say that the cut off this time around was 74 points. Also that there were 90 emails sent including to those who are in the top 60 and alternates, ... so we will see ! Goodluck to everyone !
Ohhh. Thanks for the information, I am curious if that's for people who are in the top 60 or everyone because I believe someone who is in this thread mentioned she had 72 points.
Has anyone applied to any other schools ? If so which ones do you all recommend? I would love for Mt Sac to be my first choice , but i need to be open to other schools ! So what are some schools you guys applied to ?
I did! One of the only other schools that I applied to that's still taking applications is Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. Their selection process is a different though. It's lottery based on the amount of degree applicable units that you've completed. They do receive a significantly lower amount of applications than most schools though just because it's in more of a suburban area so it's worth a shot!

I applied to riverside and their applications are still open but they need official transcripts by Oct 1st. Pasadena is opening up applications on the 1st. I started applying to rio hondo but it's a back up since they start in the fall. I still have to study for the Teas test.

Hi. Thanks for posting about your counselor meeting. Did she at least let you know where you stood in terms of placement like if you in the top 60 or an alternate?
