Good evening everyone.
My name is Nicole. I made this forum to connect with potential Mt Sac nursing students who may be applying for Spring 2018 admission. I'm am applying and wanted to see everyone's status, and maybe gain some insight on what is to come. I have not taken my HESI yet; I am taking it August 17th. I am also working on finishing up a summer class to know where my gpa stands for points on the multi criteria. I am between 76 and 83 points depending on my HESI score, gpa, and work experience. Not sure what the cutt off will be for the Spring 2018 semester, but I'm hoping I will have enough points. Hope everyone is having an awesome night. Hope to hear from future students.
Thank you everyone! You don't have to go dressed. I did, but my friend didn't and she got in the nursing program too! They don't ask you any interview questions, they just look over your transcript to see that everything looks good :) They also tell you the orientation date which is Jan 8-11. Sorry for the late post, was super busy today haha
Congrats! Does that mean there are 21 people with higher scores than you? I'm curious as to why there is a drop in applications...I'm in the nursing program!!! :) She told me right there and said I was #22! I got in with 81 points. The cut off is 74 points (for the top 60). A total of 95 people applied. Usually it's about 180 or so. She didn't give me how many people were on the waitlist. She did says that they may pull some more people since usually people drop and get accepted from a different nursing program so there's hope if anyone is concerned!!

Yes, but there could also be some with the same score that are either ahead or behind depending on when they submitted their application. Equal scores are ranked according to time of application submission.
I'm curios about the drop as well and will ask tomorrow during my appt.

The counselor told me that #1 is the highest so yes #'s 1-21 have higher scores than me. I was wondering that too on why there was a drop on applications, but I don't know why there is a huge drop
Hi all!
Just finished my counseling appt. I got in at 21 with 81points (96 is the highest point total). I wanted to remind you all to be sure and bring OFFICIAL and SEALED transcripts for the appt. Overall the appt. was a pleasent experience which lasted about 40 min. Basically I sat and watched as Ms. Diaz cofirmed that everything submitted with my application was accurate. I did find out that the Fall application pool is typically smaller when compared to Spring and the numbers are fairly consistent with past years. Like MelRay said, orientation will be held on Jan. 8-11 from 8-4:30...
For me the process of getting to this point has been long and full of difficult challenges; it feels pretty amazing now that I have finally reached this point. Best of luck to all of you and if you didn't quite make it this time, if you keep at it your time will come.

How exciting!!!! I can't wait to go to my appt now. Did they ask you interview questions like why do you want to be a nurse? Or any stuff like that.
