Mt. Sac nursing program spring 2018

Good evening everyone.

My name is Nicole. I made this forum to connect with potential Mt Sac nursing students who may be applying for Spring 2018 admission. I'm am applying and wanted to see everyone's status, and maybe gain some insight on what is to come. I have not taken my HESI yet; I am taking it August 17th. I am also working on finishing up a summer class to know where my gpa stands for points on the multi criteria. I am between 76 and 83 points depending on my HESI score, gpa, and work experience. Not sure what the cutt off will be for the Spring 2018 semester, but I'm hoping I will have enough points. Hope everyone is having an awesome night. Hope to hear from future students.

Just left my appointment and found out I'm #59 with 74 points. A little too close for comfort but I'm in the top 60!

Hey congrats! I think I'm coming in at 74 points too. Do you remember what date you submitted your app?

Hello everyone. I have my appointment tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone had any questions they wanted me to ask?

Also, does anyone know what the program schedule will typically be? For example, will it be a Mon-Thurs schedule with clinicals on the weekends? The reason I am asking is because I have a job interview soon and I need to let them know when I will be available

Asking about the schedule would be awsome, I'm not sure if the counselors will know but it would be great to find out...

@nursingspring to be honest I'm not sure, I was applying to 4 different schools at the time so don't exactly remember when I submitted it. But if I had to guess I'd say maybe around the middle of the application period. Did you receive a candidate email?

@candicore I wouldn't be discouraged, my buddy that's in the program mentioned earlier that at least 5 people dropped by the time the orientation came around.

Hey guys :) I had my appointment on Monday October 9th at 10:45 AM. I think I am pretty much in :D I am #32 with 80 points. Counselor said there were 150 applicants and the highest score was 87 Congrats to everyone who made it, hope to meet u at orientation!

That's good! I'm just holding on to the chance the some of the top 60 go to their preferred school. :nailbiting:

I'm in! The top points was 96 and my counselor said they sent out about 100 emails. This is what I believe our first semester will look like.

Semester 1 – SP 2018 Units Schedule Clinicals hours Date

NURS 1AThe Nursing Process I 5 M 7 – 11am , 1-245pm 16.88 2/27 – 4/23

NURS 1BThe Nursing Process II 5 M 7 – 11am , 1-245pm 16.88 4/24 – 6/18

NURS 2Pharmacology 2 R 730 – 1030am 2/27- 5/21

Units 12

I believe I figured out the other semesters if anyone wants to see what those will be I can email it to you. It's not for sure of course but I went off the previous semester schedule.
