MT SAC FALL 2018

U.S.A. California

Published

Good evening everyone,

I didn't see a thread for potential Mt sac nursing students applying for Fall 2018. Since, I am from Northern California I think this is the best way for me to connect with the others who are applying.

How many points are you applying with ?

Wow! I can't believe that! I definitely know how you feel. I hope you get in for sure this time!! Thank you for sharing your story, you would think since it was a transcript from their own school, it would be okay?! Unbelievable. I am going to be super careful next time and definitely call to make sure it all looks good before the deadline.

Hi Guys!

So I had my counseling appointment last week on the 27th and the counselor let me know I was a part of the 60 officially getting in. But reading through this thread is getting me nervous... My total points were 79.

Has anyone received that email about orientation yet? I feel like I celebrated too early and may not even be in! But the counselor said I was able to celebrate after she confirmed my application... IDK.

Hi. I think you are safe. When I met with my counselor, she didn't really tell me the lowest points of the top 60 students, but I accidentally caught it on her screen when she checked the list. It was 78 points and that is one of my classmate. Her counselor didn't tell her her status for sure but said she had good chance. My counselor asked me not to tell her because the points might be wrong so people would move up and down so nothing was really certain. But I think 79 is safe.

Good afternoon everyone,

have any of you received that email yet?

im just getting eager.... lol

Hey everyone. I had my counseling appointment about 3 weeks ago. The counselor verified my application and everything went well. I was told I was within the top 60 and should be in. I remember the counselor told me some specific dates on when we should here back but I don't remember what they were. I think we should here something within the next week or so. I just hope to hear something back soon.

I remember my counselor checked the schedule and we should hear from the department in April. But the nursing department's website shows they send the email in May. So I am not sure now.

Yep, you're absolutely right. I called a few minutes ago because my counselor told me they would send out the confirmation email in the first or second week of April. But the Nursing Dept told me today that they updated the Mt.Sac website with the new date for those email to be sent out, which is in May. So we need to wait a little while longer... The Dept is currently looking over all applications and making decisions.

I'm glad I called since I was getting paranoid I wasn't going to get in lol

Any updates? I heard citrus and rio started with their acceptance letters.

I heard some got a letter from admission already, anyone else?

Yesterday I went there, and they told me they would send the email between May 1st and 15th. The orientation would be around June 18th. But not for sure.

False alarm lol, thought it was the acceptance letter already, but it wasn't

i have a quick question, lets say you had a mid 80's on the point system and already had the verification appointment. Is there any reason they would deny you acceptance even though you were in the top 60 of applicants? Like do they judge your personality and interaction at the counselor meeting?
