Hi!!
Just wanted to see if there were any other people on here that applied for the Mount St. Mary's ABSN Fall 2013 program? I just turned in my application yesterday and crossing my fingers that I get in.
From reading other threads about this program, I hear it's pretty competitive.
Hope to hear from some other people soon who also applied so we can all wait this out together! :)
Hi everyone!!
Sorry it's been awhile its been really hectic! When I had my interview I had to wait they had a lot of interviews so I didn't get to go at my specified time, also for those who haven't received an email yet do not worry, they told me that they are still reviewing a lot of applicants still, so don't think you didn't get in!
The interview was about 10-15 minutes and they asked standard questions like why do you want to be a nurse? What's an ethical issue you were faced with and how did you deal with it?
Good luck everyone!!!!!
These were the questions for my interview:
1. why do you want to be a nurse?
2. How do you handle stress?
3. When things do not go to plan how do you handle the situation
4. Do you have any kids? Single?
5. Are your family and friends supportive?
Thats all that I can remember
Right now I'm decided whether or not MSMC vs WGU. Does any one have any thoughts about WGU nursing program? I been accepted to it and like some help deciding...
Msmc costs 60K and Wgu costs 23K.
Msmc is 1 year and Wgu is 2.5 years.
help!
Congrates on those that gotten an interview! I feel like if you gotten though to the interview stage then you made it
Hey Carolina,
I also need to take bioethics. I haven't heard of Taylor though. What exactly is that and how long does the course run, as well as how much does it cost? Thanks:)
Aleks, they are only interviewing about 60? Wow I thought it would much more than that.
Well goodluck to everyone! hopefully we hear back soon!:)
I have been accepted to WGU. So far I've asked many people of their thoughts and I may pick WGU over Msmc.
I went to MSMC for my bachelors in gerontology and my friends graduated with their BSN from MSMC. I asked them if being a MSMC graduate helped them with finding a job and they said not really.

Hi All!
Congrats to all those who have received interviews! I had mine today. The interviewer was very nice and the whole thing was a lot less stressful than I had anticipated. The interview took about 15 minutes and she just asked me about 4-5 questions about why I wanted to be a nurse and things like "tell me about a time when you had a stressful situation and how you dealt with it", etc. The interview seemed more like a 15 minute conversation. I don't think any of you should stress out about it, you'll do fine!!
