  1. I emailed CSUDH and this is what I heard: "During the academic year 2014 the MEPN program will be under review. We will not be accepting applications until further notice. Please check the website periodically for any additional updates. Sorry for any inconvenience. If you submitted your transcripts and payment, we will provide you with a refund or send the check back (if it has not been cashed) very soon." So it seems they cancelled it until further notice
  2. Aleks- I'm pretty sure an advisor has a phone conference with every applicant who isn't accepted since the committee takes notes on our applications as they are being evaluated and can tell us why we didn't get in and what we can do better if we decide to roll our applications over. Thats basically what they told me about a month ago when they rejected my app (and then decided to consider it after all). I'm considering my waitlist as a rejection. Unfortunately, this causes me to lose a scholarship because of time constraints on it and I will not be able to roll over my app because of the 5 years rule with my classes (I started my classes while doing my first degree in 2008). I am currently looking into options for entry level masters starting next fall, but this is really frustrating to work hard to be considered (and get a scholarship!) and not be able to take advantage of either
  3. I just checked and I've been waitlisted (it literally says "waitlisted" on my web advisor for those wondering how I know). Msmc is definitely not making this easy for me.
  4. When I was trying to set up my interview for this week, the woman I was corresponding with said that the last day for interviews were Tuesday. If you have any concerns, I would call. As you know, I've had a ton of problems with my application, and had to call at least 3 or 4 times. It's better than falling through the cracks.
  5. My interview is tomorrow afternoon.
  6. Just curious, has anyone applied to or been accepted to other schools or is everyone just waiting on msmc?
  7. I got an interview email this morning! After everything that had happened during the application process for me, I was in shock! I was really convinced that I wasn't even being considered that I was planning my registration for CNA licensure for different entry-level MSN and ABSN programs. Still trying not to get my hopes up! Good luck to everyone still waiting!
  8. Hi waitingfor. I was originally rejected because they weren't going to accept one of my classes. They updated my portal to "denied to the college" on May 14. I called the minute I found out to schedule an appointment to find out why. I was actually able to speak on the phone with an advisor and found out that they weren't accepting one of my classes. I sent the course description after chatting with the advisor. Admissions decided to accept the class and my application would be considered after all. The next day I got a rejection letter, however it was dated May 14. I was told my app would be considered on May 15 or 16. My web advisor has not been updated since 5/14 (with the denial) but I got the email update about the interview emails being delayed. Even though it hasn't been updated from "denied," my application is still being reviewed (supposedly). From what I gathered from the advisor, if you are chosen for an interview they will email you letting you know when (or maybe asking when?). Letters with the decision will be sent out some time in June (and I'm assuming it will be similar to my earlier situation- they will change the web advisor status the day they mail the letters). Of course, I'm not positive but this is what happened to me earlier during this process.
  9. I received the same email as Carolina323 yesterday
  10. I spoke with an adviser on the phone this morning. Apparently there was a mix up with one of my classes. They weren't going to accept it, but I sent a course description to the adviser, and they decided that they would accept it after all! So I am still going to be considered! YES!!! :) That was actually my second rejection from the school for this application period (there was transcript confusion on their part), so this has been a really rough and discouraging road for me but I'm still pushing my hardest, and hoping that I don't get a THIRD rejection for this one-time application. They haven't updated my status on the advisor but I was told that it was going to be reviewed. She also said that interviews will be some time next week (we will be informed via email) and admission decisions will be mailed out the first week in June.
  11. I checked the Web Advisor today and mine says "Denied to the College" I called to get an advising appointment and they said that the advisors will call all denied applicants and discuss the denial over the phone. I'm sure mine has to do with 3 classes in progress Good Luck everyone else!
  12. I haven't heard anything yet. Anyone else?
  13. I applied as well! I too have been anxiously waiting- I check my email/portal more than I probably should lol! On the Fall 2012 forum on this site, people weren't starting hear until mid-to-late May, so I'm trying not to freak out too much
