Moving to Chicago, need help!

I currently work as a med/surg RN in Baltimore for the last 6 years and will be moving by the end of the year to Hinsdale which is on Cook/Dupage line. I am interested in working as an OR nurse and am interested in any help locating programs in the areas, places to go/stay away from.

I am looking for the 6 month OR training programs with a good preceptorship, versus the on the job training.

I am a 7 month new grad working at Palos Community Hospital. I have heard really great things about Hinsdale Hospital. Just thought I would let you know. Good Luck.:D

Bets of luck to you at UIC this year Nikki422! Thanks for the advice on Hinsdale Hospital. I will actually be living nearly walking distance from there. I just don't believe the OR has a training program that will train someone for the position without experience.
