Mountain View College Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there, Trying to reapply to Mountain View for the fall 2019. I got denied for the spring. I do not give up that easy so i am trying my luck once more.Hopefully they will consider me the second time.I will schedule an appointment with the admin to know where i went wrong. I decided to start a thread this early so we can help one another and finally share a classroom together.

This time I am applying to as many schools as possible.

So the NCTC requires teas, anyone done the test? I need tips.

I have another question. On the immunizations. When go see a physician for physical exam do we have the doctor write the immunization we have already on the Mountain View College nursing application immun. form they provided? I see on the top where it says that it has to be signed by the administered provider and that confused me? Can someone please help. thank youScreenshot_20190124-133528.png.3bc3d422f1344600606f7cfc967e7d7b.png

I would send an email to Rochelle Self-Drake to get clarification on this one. A good chunk of my documentation was either done at my job or at the county clinic so I don't have much information about the doctor signing off on it.

Thanks!

So just received an email from Self-Drake regarding the immunization part on the app. form. Since they don't have a nurse currently at the MVC to sign off the forms then the students are suppose to fill out and provide copies of your immunizations with your application.

Am I suppose to send an email to Self-Drake to make an appointment for the application? I sent her an email on Friday and today at noon and she still haven't responded back to me other than her auto reply message.

Yes you have to send her an email Joejun97. She is really efficient at replying back to students. I would suggest you resend your email. The first time I reached out to Self-Drake I had to resend my email twice.

I already sent her an email twice with my full name and my ID number. I think I will just visit her tomorrow morning.

Looks like I'll have 14 points since I took my HESI today. Not where I wanted to be but that's okay. Have you all already turned in your applications or still working on them?

That's is a great amount of points to apply. Looking at the past forums of spring 2019 student got called in for an interview with 13 points. Stay posiitve and hope you get a call!?

I have 15 pts without the Hesi. I take it next Saturday and hopefully get a high enough grade to get 2 extra points and will put me at 18 points. I will think that's enough to to get an interview.. ..

Adrkari 17 points is a good start and you should be able to get an interview. I got an 84 on my 1st attempt on the way Hesi and I will be retake it Saturday for a higher score. What subject on the Hesi was the most complicated for you?

Hello, I was waiting for someone to create a forum. If I am doing everything right looks like I will be applying with 18 points not including my Hesi. I will be retaking it and I am hoping for an 89 so I can get 2 points and have a total of 20. Does anyone know how to know what version of HESI you received the first time? My first time I went in to test my own knowledge without studying I didn’t do so well but I was suprised on my grade for not studying at all. I have about 2 weeks to study I’m hoping that’s enough. Anyone that passed the Hesi for about how long did you study?
