Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there, Trying to reapply to Mountain View for the fall 2019. I got denied for the spring. I do not give up that easy so i am trying my luck once more.Hopefully they will consider me the second time.I will schedule an appointment with the admin to know where i went wrong. I decided to start a thread this early so we can help one another and finally share a classroom together.

This time I am applying to as many schools as possible.

So the NCTC requires teas, anyone done the test? I need tips.

Hey guys giving y'all some hope(:

I am reapplying to the program for fall 2019. Got in last time with 19 points 3.0GPA so don't worry! Just apply and believe in yourself.

Hello, I am just wondering it says you got in and are reapplying. Was the program bad is that why you left and are now reapplying? I have heard so much that now I am concerned. Also wondering if you don’t mind sharing what type of questions did you get in your interview?

Yes i was one of the applicants and i had 15 points and was called for an interview. Someone had 23,another had 13, i do not know the highest but you can see the range. I think i messed up on the interview so TAKE IT SERIOUSLY, for it counts towards you getting accepted.

Hope this helps, ask anything, will try my level best to answer!

I wish us all the best.

Hello, what kind of questions did you get in your interview that made you feel that you messed up? If you don’t mind me asking.

Thanks Shauntil07! I have already completed the class. Is not very hard. You should be able to get an easy A!

I’m looking to take this class to take some workload off if I get in. Who did you take it with and where?

Adrkari 17 points is a good start and you should be able to get an interview. I got an 84 on my 1st attempt on the way Hesi and I will be retake it Saturday for a higher score. What subject on the Hesi was the most complicated for you?

I really wanted to retake the Hesi again but I didn’t know they go by your last grade not your highest. I know this girl got in with just scoring a 77 on her hesi. Not sure how many points she had tho, also don’t they take more students in the fall semester ? If they that’s even better for us.

What have you heard ? I’ve only heard good things about the mvc nursing program. I mean it’s hard but I think any nursing program is hard.

Oh wow!!! How can they take the lowest HESI score when they have to take the most recent score??? Although she got a 77 on the HESI, she must have had a good GPA and completed most of the support courses.

Yeah so if you score lower the second time you retake it you’ll have to stick to that grade, I asked Mr. Drake. I don’t know that person GPA but I think mine is like 3.2. I have never really checked. I know it’s your GPA on only your pre reqs.

So I follow this group on Facebook. And someone commented that MVC was not a good program, but then yet again I don’t know. I think it’s just hard anywhere and for some people that it may be hard for might say it’s a bad program. But regardless I still want to apply.

Yes you have to send her an email Joejun97. She is really efficient at replying back to students. I would suggest you resend your email. The first time I reached out to Self-Drake I had to resend my email twice.

She's really good in responding. I sent her an email yesterday and received my response today at 8am.

Hey everyone the deadline for the MVC is nearing soon! I am 90% done with my application. Just missing my hesi score which I am retaking next Saturday. Can someone help me confirm what all needs to be turned in at the time the application is due on 2/22/19. I have the following items completed, which I think is suppose to be completed and turned in with the application:

-MVC NURSING application, physical exam w/immunizations completed, BLS CPR Card, official transcripts, background check reciept, Hesi score, and health insurance card.

Hi Everyone, Be patient with XYZ I just meet with her last week after trying for a while. She is the only one available and will be contacting everyone as soon as she can. She did tell me last cycle the person with the lowest points was 12 but the highest she has seen has been 25 this cycle. I really have to just get a 75% on my Hesi but I would prefer higher to receive one extra point I will be retaking it Friday.
