This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for 2010 entry.
This is my second application for admission since I wasn't offered admission for Fall 2009. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Spring 2010? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay Area (also turned down twice to 2 programs for Fall 2009 entry). They wont be sending out admission offers until February for March start dates!! Would love to hear from fellow nursing school hopefuls )
Good luck to all you!!

When I talked to financial aid last week about my FAFSA they asked me to bring in my 2009 tax return and W-2 as well as complete an independant worksheet. They mentioned that you can complete the worksheet online and I probably could have mailed the documents, but thought it would be better to drop them off. I picked the wrong day.
OMG! I'm really happy that you are going to MSMC. That really sucks that they did that. I had gone to their info session up in Glendale and was really turned off by them. They probably didn't get their certification.Pauli - Where are you on the "other" site? I want to see who you really are.
I only applied there as a back up plan. I didn't like a lot of things about their program...probably the same things you didn't like. They supposedly did get their accreditation, but the chancellor wouldn't sign off. I spend a lot of money taking extra pre-reqs for them...like $3000 extra. I was able to get half of it back, but I think they should be repaying those who took the classes they said we had to once we were accepted. I really feel bad for the others. One guy that was accepted to both programs as well, declined MSMC because he liked their flexibility. Can you imagine declining MSMC and no having no where to go? I emailed him to check in, but haven't heard back.
just a reminder to post to the topic of the thread, and to abide by the terms of service when posting.

So I dropped off my deposit at about 11am today on campus, then at 3:30pm I get a call from the school asking if I am going to attend and to make sure I turn in my form and check by tomorrow.
Here's a hint, be sure to keep a copy of all paperwork you submit from this point forward.
Just checked my WebAdvisor and it finally says "Registration Pending"!
Yeah, you definitely want to keep copies of everything. the administration can be super super disorganized. I called in April because a transcript I had sent in January still hadn't showed up on my WebAdvisor. They put me on hold twice, but didn't find the transcript. A few hours later (when I was about to call the school the transcript was from and yell at them for never sending it), I get a call from MSMC's Admission's office saying they found the transcript and it had been marked as received on January 22 (or some day towards the end of that month).
You have to be on top of things.

What did you drop off at financial aid? I just thought we had the $400 check to deliver.
