This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for 2010 entry.
This is my second application for admission since I wasn't offered admission for Fall 2009. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Spring 2010? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay Area (also turned down twice to 2 programs for Fall 2009 entry). They wont be sending out admission offers until February for March start dates!! Would love to hear from fellow nursing school hopefuls )

I was told by my interviewer that I would know by the end of the month. Why are they telling people different things?
Honestly, the administration at the school is really disorganized, so it's not surprising that you're hearing different things. It wouldn't surprise me if the person who interviewed you is just as confused as you are. Interviewers may have been getting different messages, he/she could have based their answer on previous cohort interview experiences (I think my cohort interviewed in mid-January, and we heard a couple weeks later, at the end of the month). so try not to get too hung up on the minutia or the technicalities.
And your WebAdvisor status may not change before you get the letter. I know of people who got the letter, but their status still said "in review process". I had the opposite- I found out through webadvisor, because they had my address wrong in the file (someone messed up when they were updating my address and changed the street name but not the city, so my acceptance letter ended up going to a nonexistent address. So don't worry about that, it was a total fluke that things got messed up that way). I can't remember off hand if there were other people who saw their webadvisor status change before they received their letter.

I had my interview last Thursday, but I don't have much experience with interviewing so I'm not sure how well I did. I was told that they will be accepting 45 out of the 60 invited to interview. Does anyone know if they will take people from the waitlist prior to the start date if someone drops? I'm definitely very anxious and nervous right now!

Another person who was told something different. It is crazy how we all have different things told to us. I was told 36 spots because they had to hold 4 for various reasons and that they interviewed 65 to 70 people. I guess we will just have to wait and see what the real story is....hhuuummmmmm.....it is driving me nuts!
