This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for 2010 entry.
This is my second application for admission since I wasn't offered admission for Fall 2009. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Spring 2010? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay Area (also turned down twice to 2 programs for Fall 2009 entry). They wont be sending out admission offers until February for March start dates!! Would love to hear from fellow nursing school hopefuls )

the up side is that when you do talk to someone about reactivating your application, you can ask that person what you need to do in order to strengthen your application. they told me a lot of things i needed to do but i did every single thing they said and i got in.
also, i agree with betsyct when she said that they sometimes don't let people know until weeks before school starts because people declined the acceptance. maybe you are on the wait list.
like i said, don't give up...just keep pushing through and be aggressive about your want to be accepted into the college. we'll still continue to support you on here! :)
I also received the acceptance letter and can't wait to see all of you in May
For those who are still waiting: I also wanted to say that it's too early to lose any hope because I'm sure that they are still in the process of sending out more acceptance letters. I will also be the one of those people who are praying and sending good vibes into your way.!

I have been little discouraged by thinking about tuition (facing reality after a moment of excitement),, but reading of your recent post made feel so much better and encouraged again!. ...Thank you!!!! :)

Well my status changed online to officially denied to the college. However, I am not down for the count as I have a reactivation appointment already in place for next week.
Specializes in Mother/Baby; Postpartum, Newborn Nursery.
You will definitely get in the next cohort. It was my second time applying too and I didn't even get an interview the first time around. Good luck to you, Sugar Lips. I know you will succeed.
I'm new to this forum. I have not yet received any packets in the mail which is unfortunate. Has anyone else received an acceptance letter since Monday?
