  1. Hi how is the program going for everyone enrolled so far ? I plan to start in January and would love to learn more about it from current students !
  2. In California there are lots of job openings for aesthetic RNs because you have to be an RN to operate a laser. So I would recommend looking for jobs in laser hair removal or photo facials and then taking a Botox or filler course. Try looking for jobs at medspas in your area and familiarize yourself with treatments such as micro needling, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and laser resurfacing treatments.
  3. Being an aesthetic nurse myself I recommend you try to look for a job at a plastic surgeon's office or dermatologist office. I started by learning how to do laser hair removal and photo facials (in California you have to be an RN to do laser). Then I progressed onto doing botox and filler and chemical peels and microdermabrasion and micro needling. Try to familiarize yourself with popular aesthetic treatments and shadow nurses or doctors in this field if you can. Also attend botox or filler course.
  4. Has anyone who interviewed for micu with mark gotten a call back for a second interview yet?
  5. How were you all notified about the interview? Email or letter or phone call?
  6. Has anyone been asked to go for an interview yet?
  7. where did everyone do their undergrad/prereq coursework at?
  8. What were everyone's science grades who were accepted if you don't mind sharing.
  9. ChaDylan, What did your waitlist letter say? I also got a waitlist letter and I'm just curious to how yours was worded. Goodluck
  10. Dear Dawn: Thank you, thank you for such valuable insight and suggestions! When you said, "purchase the patho/med-surg textbook and start reading NOW!", I am wondering what is the title of the textbook, name of author(s) and the edition number? I would also greatly appreciate a chance to get the readings for "the syllabi from first quarter". Cheers and wishing you progress every day.
  11. I actually have not been able to log onto my web advisor. I called the admissions office and they let me know the letter was on the way to me and she informed me I was on the wait list. Maybe call in and let them know you have a question about your web advisor status. And yes I did have an interview in mid-january. Good luck mint.
  12. Wonderful thanks alot sera
  13. Does anyone know if the program begins in the beginning, middle or end of May?
  14. Rocky, I called today and found out I'm on the waiting list so I'm just hoping and praying I'm accepted for the May start date.
