Howdy,
This is a thread for anyone who is applying to the MSMC ABSN program for summer 2015 admission, or anyone who has first hand knowledge of the program.
I'm an out-of-towner who has applied to the program and will be moving to the Los Angeles area from Texas in a couple months. I'm so excited! I heard they will be starting interviews soon and am praying that I get one. I have applied to a couple other schools but I am really hoping to get in the program at the Mount.
I wanted to get some advice on the admissions process: how long will it take before we know if we've been accepted, is there anything I should know that would benefit me during the process, how difficult is the pre-entry math exam, etc. I am hoping to connect with other applicants and use this as a forum to support each other.
I will also be new to the city and could use some friends :) Good luck to all applicants and I can't wait (hopefully) to be a MSMC student!!!

@clally5, yes I've emailed to make sure. At my school, the lecture and lab portions are separate classes. I actually went through a tedious process because at my school the first lab class doesn't occur until after the second lecture portion. the first lab class then covers the first two lecture classes. This is from UCLA
i'm actually most concerned about the 2 religion and 1 sociology class...
I know I'm late but I need advice on ABSN program.Does it matter what you hold your Bachelor's degree at? Mine is linguistics and from a different country - but I had my diploma accredited so that's not a problem. But it's far from science.
Thank you!
LVN9561,
I don't think it matters what you hold your Bachelors in. Mine was a B.A. in International Development
Hi everyone!
I'm about to start this upcoming fall cohort and I had a couple questions I'm hoping any past students could help me with. The program is so costly so I"m trying to save as much as I can. Does anybody have any recommendations on how to handle the financial aid/loans/scholarships to pay for school? I've been looking through scholarships and haven't found many options. Any recommendations on specific loan source?
Parking for the Doheny campus is also around 400$ a year, how is the surrounding area? Is it easy to avoid paying the fee and find street parking?
Do you have any other advice before starting the program?
Thank you so much! Your help is so appreciated.

Hi Charming_Kitty, at the time that I applied I had all my prerequisites completed, however if you only have the one sociology class left for Summer I can't see that hurting you too much. And it honestly never hurts to apply-I wouldn't wait, just keep applying until they let you in! Good luck with everything!
