Howdy,
This is a thread for anyone who is applying to the MSMC ABSN program for summer 2015 admission, or anyone who has first hand knowledge of the program.
I'm an out-of-towner who has applied to the program and will be moving to the Los Angeles area from Texas in a couple months. I'm so excited! I heard they will be starting interviews soon and am praying that I get one. I have applied to a couple other schools but I am really hoping to get in the program at the Mount.
I wanted to get some advice on the admissions process: how long will it take before we know if we've been accepted, is there anything I should know that would benefit me during the process, how difficult is the pre-entry math exam, etc. I am hoping to connect with other applicants and use this as a forum to support each other.
I will also be new to the city and could use some friends :) Good luck to all applicants and I can't wait (hopefully) to be a MSMC student!!!

I made the rash decision to go to a very expensive school for my 1st Bachelors degree, despite little financial assistance so I piled on a huge amount of student loans-most private loan companies like Wells Fargo and discover have a limit (about $125k) and I exceeded that. So I was left with Sallie Mae and my only possible cosigner was my fiancée and they determined he had too short of a credit history despite having a good income and no debt. If your cosigner owns a home and has decent credit and your previous loan amount isn't too high you should be fine!
Oh it actually won't let me start the group without adding a friend first. Feel free to add me on facebook and then we can start the group! https://www.facebook.com/agray60
I checked my portal last night, not updated: Under-review. Checked my portal this morning: Accepted. So excited!!! Looking forward to meeting all you who got accepted, Congrats MSMU Summer 2015! If you didn't get accepted, keep working hard and you'll find your place, you can make anything you want happen provided you truly are dedicated.
