Mount St. Mary's College ABSN Summer 2015

Published

Howdy,

This is a thread for anyone who is applying to the MSMC ABSN program for summer 2015 admission, or anyone who has first hand knowledge of the program.

I'm an out-of-towner who has applied to the program and will be moving to the Los Angeles area from Texas in a couple months. I'm so excited! I heard they will be starting interviews soon and am praying that I get one. I have applied to a couple other schools but I am really hoping to get in the program at the Mount.

I wanted to get some advice on the admissions process: how long will it take before we know if we've been accepted, is there anything I should know that would benefit me during the process, how difficult is the pre-entry math exam, etc. I am hoping to connect with other applicants and use this as a forum to support each other.

I will also be new to the city and could use some friends :) Good luck to all applicants and I can't wait (hopefully) to be a MSMC student!!!

Yay!!!!! Congratulations clally5!!! Hard work finally paid off! :)

Congrats ajk003 and clally5. Sooo excited for you guys!

Congrats guys!

Mine still says in review :(

Keeping my fingers crossed for the next 2 weeks for everyone!! In my mind, if you're on this site you are ahead of the game and definitely deserve to get in!

What did your guys portal say? And did you get an email too?

No email, just checked admission status in the portal webadvisor and it said accepted

gaaahhhhhhh!!!!

well congrats again!

This is the most frustrating wait ever!

Has anyone else besides clally5 and ajk003 heard anything??

Congrats to those who have been accepted and good luck to those waiting for a response.

I have been accepted too. It doesn't seem official just seeing the word accepted the status box.

Does anyone have any insight into when we will get further instructions?

The website is the first thing to be updated. Then they will send out the letters, then the financial aid letters, and then once you've enrolled they'll send out everything regarding your uniforms, shots, orientation, etc. having paid enrollment and getting to about 1 month before orientation I can tell you this is what was done for the fall 2014 cohort. I was so close to being in the last cohort I just couldn't get a private loan.

As far as when-who knows-probably within the next week or two for those that are interviewing later. Oh and if you plan to take bioethics at Taylor it might be good idea to start the class in the next month and a half. I took it and it's nice knowing it's already taken care of! ;)

Thanks for the info!
