Mount St. Mary's College ABSN Summer 2015

This is a thread for anyone who is applying to the MSMC ABSN program for summer 2015 admission, or anyone who has first hand knowledge of the program.

I'm an out-of-towner who has applied to the program and will be moving to the Los Angeles area from Texas in a couple months. I'm so excited! I heard they will be starting interviews soon and am praying that I get one. I have applied to a couple other schools but I am really hoping to get in the program at the Mount.

I wanted to get some advice on the admissions process: how long will it take before we know if we've been accepted, is there anything I should know that would benefit me during the process, how difficult is the pre-entry math exam, etc. I am hoping to connect with other applicants and use this as a forum to support each other.

I will also be new to the city and could use some friends :) Good luck to all applicants and I can't wait (hopefully) to be a MSMC student!!!

Good question! Not sure. I guess I thought we would hear about our math scores prior to hearing about interviews but I guess not!

When I took the test, they said we would find out at or after the interview.

So if you're a second time applicant, you don't need to interview? what if you have something important to say? lol

I called them yesterday and she said they wouldn't be releasing the math test scores until January :( So anxious! haha I know I was actually bummed when they said they didn't need to interview me :)

Hello Everyone! This is my second time around too, I was accepted for the fall 2014 but I was unable to attend due to financial reasons. I reactivated my application and took the test on December 8th (Monday). There were not a lot of us there at ALL, maybe 12 people? I too won't be interviewing, but would love to hear from them about, well, anything! Good luck to everyone!

It seems like most of you got interviewed already! Does anyone know if all the interviews have already been completed? I haven't gotten an interview invite yet :(.. and I'm getting worried because they said they'll send out acceptance letters in January. Has anyone heard anything back from them yet? I know they were closed for the holidays, but hoping to hear anything from them soon!

The offices are open, I called yesterday to make sure my final transcripts were received. However, I didn't ask about when we should hear admissions decisions. As far as I know its mid-end of the January! Call them ajk003 and ask if interviews are still going on, I'd be curious to know as well!

I just received an interview invite today! I guess they're still in the process of interviewing people this month. Good luck to anyone else who will be interviewing next week :)

Called them today too and was told that interviews are being throughout this month. They are sending out notices as they review them. Hoping that I get an interview notice hopefully by the end of this week. Good luck guys! Trying to stay calm through this admissions process.

Has anyone who already interviewed heard anything yet? I'm assuming not but just checking! I'm going crazy over here, the waiting game is the worst!!!! í ½í¸«

I haven't heard back from them either. They told me decisions are coming out at the end of the month. But I keep checking everyday just in case. And yes, they said December were the first batch of interviews, they'll do the rest of them in January.

I got a letter from the office of admissions a week or something ago and almost thought it was a decision, but it was a notice they were changing their name.......:sniff::facepalm::dead:

I know clally5, the last couple cohorts threads on here are crazy!

And no.... haven't heard anything here! I just wannaaaaa know already!! Hopefully this week we will hear something. Fingers crossed!
