Applying to MSMC's 2011 absn program? Yeah, me too. Just wanted to hearing from others in the same boat.
Congrats yukikon! I got the same email last night, waiting to hear about an interview time. Good Luck! Have you applied anywhere else or do you see yourself going to MSMC? Are you going to take Bioethics, if you haven't already?
I have heard sometimes they tell you on the spot in the interview if you get acccepted!
For people who haven't heard anything, it may have something to do with coursed you may have completed in December. I finished a class on Dec.15th, ordered my transcript last Tuesday, it was sent out Thursday and then I heard from MSMC yesterday. I think they were just waiting for the final grade to come in.
Thank you loyolablue! I am crossing my fingers for you, I'm sure you'll get an email soon!
Jo Fitz - congrats on your interview invitation! MSMC is my top choice, but I also applied to Concordia University. I have a friend who's an RN now at torrance memorial who graduated from MSMC's ABSN program back in 2008 i think, and she spoke highly of the program and since Concordia's ABSN is kind of new, I am leaning more towards MSMC even though it is significantly more expensive. What about you? Did you get your confirmation email yet? My interview is going to be next Wednesday!
Just out of curiosity, is anybody in this thread planning to move closer to the area if they get into the program?? I am probably getting ahead of myself here, but I want to be prepared when the time comes and if I do get in, I need to move closer to the school since I definitely don't plan on commuting from Orange County everyday.
@loyolablue -Oh, and regarding the bioethics question.... I'm really not sure if I'm going to take it without knowing whether I got in or not. Concordia requires a bioethics class too but you have to take it at school during the program, so I don't want to take the bioethics at Taylor university, not get into MSMC, then get into Concordia and have the bioethics class not count. What about you??

As far as tuition goes, is there another thread about that?
Is it possible to obtain loans for the entire amount of tuition?
