Published

Starting the thread since I could only find Summer 2021z Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for their ABSN program starting Fall 2021? Where else did you apply? Share stats if comfortable, you know the drill! Thanks!

Nothing, I assumed maybe today? I really hope so! I want to ask Tuan again but I’m nervous to keep asking. But the program start date is so close.

I got my acceptance last Friday so keep a look out! ?

Best of luck to everyone - I hope we all get to be in the same cohort

Has any of you taken a class through portage ? I am missing anatomy 2 and I’m trying to see if I can have it done before the deadline which is July 9

I’m taking Ethics and Anatomy 2 through portage right now. I am confident that I could finish ethics soon but the work load for anatomy 2 is a lot. I’m worried I won’t finish by July 9th. I already submitted my enrollment deposit, do you think they are strict with having it finished by July 9th?

Has anyone gotten rejected yet from PSON?

@ale__11

I took Anatomy 2 through Portage. You can only take one test every 48 hours. When I took the course late in 2020 there were seven modules + a Final. You also have to take eight lab exams but I don't think they have time restraints. Each module includes a lot of information. I didn't find it conceptually difficult but the amount you need to memorize is overwhelming. If you devoted yourself full-time (including weekends) to only this class you could technically complete it but it would not be easy.  At least it was not easy for me. You are allowed to drop the class and get a refund (minus $50) as long as you haven't tested passed module one. Or at least that was the case a few months ago.

@futureregisterednurse22 I don't know how strict they are. Do you know if transcripts are due by July 9th or if the class needs to be completed by July 9th?

Did anyone hear anything at the end of last week?

Hello Everyone - has anyone heard from MS?

@Rosey1026 Still waiting on a decision. They did write back today to tell me the transcripts must be submitted by July 9th for the prerequisites.
