Mount Sinai PSON ABSN Fall 2021

Starting the thread since I could only find Summer 2021z Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for their ABSN program starting Fall 2021? Where else did you apply? Share stats if comfortable, you know the drill! Thanks!

Hi and thank you! No interview. Graduated with a bachelors ELEVEN years ago and no, not an amazing student. Barely cracked a 2.9 GPA but I took the 9 pre reqs in a matter of 6-7 months ending with a 4.0. I do work in a prestigious hospital- but administration side for the past 4 years, no clinical experience. I mean if I can do it with a 2 year old I theres definitely more ppl qualified than me LOL

hi all,

does anyone know anything about the hybrid format of this program? If it's hybrid then what classes are online/ in- person? I was also wondering typically how many days a week we will have to be in- person on campus?

If anyone has any idea please let me know! thank you!

I’m a current student at PSON. They haven’t told us anything about the format of next semester’s classes, but one of you mentioned hybrid. Is this something that they mentioned to you guys? Did they mention anything at all?

Hi! I'm attending PSON Fall 2021, they told us that the didactic portions will be held synchronously through Zoom, and the labs/clinicals will be in person.

It says on their website that the program is hybrid so I was wondering how they split that up

I'm starting in fall 2021 as well! I'm trying to get an idea how many days a week will be in person versus online.

So it will be Hybrid for Fall '21?

Also if you are already in the program, do they allow you to buy scrubs elsewhere? Is it that bright green or very dark green color?

For our cohort we were able to buy scrubs from anywhere as long as the color was similar. Many people got Figs, but for those of us that don’t own a money tree, I would recommend Cherokee workware. Again, this is how it was for our cohort, so make sure that you can do the same before you start buying.

Hi everyone! I was wondering how long after your application was verified by nursing cas did you hear back from school itself? I applied a few days before the deadline and my application is still being looked at by nursing cas so I was just curious since the start date is right around the corner. Thanks in advance!

Mine was verified the next day (but I had submitted another app before this one so it's possible that my verification went through faster). I applied Mid-April and heard back about a month later.

Has anyone ordered their scrubs!? I wanted to get some Figs but I see they don't carry that dark green color PSON requires. Anyone?!

Does anyone know if PSON still send you an email if you haven't been accepted for the semester? I haven't heard anything back and I checked my email like a crazy person! I don't know if I should start with other opportunities. I just wanna knoooow! ?
