Mount Sinai ABSN Summer 2020

Hi all,

Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

Is anyone else low key worried about how we'll proceed with attending classes due to the current pandemic? Especially because hospitals are low on ppe. I'm glad I got accepted but I do have family members that don

Part 2 family members that don't have the strongest immune systems. Just worried I guess which is kind of expected. Also if classes will be online for the fall ?

Yes I am worried. I know things won't be the same as previous semester at least for now and I am wondering how it will impact the in coming students. I also think I am just super nervous and anxious because I don't know what to expect.

I’m not too worried. I don't think the situation will be that bad by fall, hopefully down by a few-hundred cases a day. If the situation is still bad, I’m pretty sure we will have classes online. As far as I know, we don't have clinicals till the second semester.

Did you apply in NYU for the Summer or Fall start? I also applied for Fall start but I haven't heard back.

I got accepted into the Fall 2020 start and I love your idea about starting a study group. I agree that it helps in an intense environment like this. Looking forward to seeing each other around!

@nurse333 how come you would rather attend PSON over NYU (besides the significant difference in tuition)?I am deciding between the 2 and just wanted to hear someone else’s perspective

I'm so glad others are open to the idea of study groups! I think before classes start we should create a WhatsApp group chat or meet on the day of orientation ( if we're even going to the school LOL , given the current situation)

Same question here. I got accepted to PSON and I'm still waiting to hear back from NYU.
