Nursing Students LPN-RN

I came across a school called AMTinstitute online. Which says they have a 10 month program for the bridge program. 6 months of classes and 4 months of clinical. Does anyone know anything about them? Or of anyone who has graduated? I can't find anything on the Internet about them, other than their website. They say they are accredited through Florida and that whom boards you'd sit for. It sounds good, but not a lot of info. They said they have been in business for 10 years. I searched for their accreditation on the GA and FL and couldn't find them.

They gave you sign up as a medlife student and they are registered medlife in west Florida they are the one's who are suppose to be accredited

I would still contact the Florida board of nursing and verify that that location is ok and is accredited. In my state, my school had two locations and the two locations were listed.

There have been scams of schools posing as accredited and then graduates finding out they aren't. Some even became licensed as nurses.

Hello I contacted Med Life Institute two different locations and they both stated they are not connected with a satellite school in Georgia.

That's scary! I would contact them yourself.

There are many warning signs here. Metlife's website looks professionally done and makes no mention of the AMT Instutite that I could find. It's not listed on the campus locations and normally people boast about expanding. the AMT institute website is a blog designed to look like a website. Professional companies do not do that but people with limited web designing may.

My paramedic school was a small school. Their website was bad but it was a website. They were listed as an EMS school by the state and advertised clinical locations. They listed instructors and owners of the school. Advertised cost online. It had hallmarks of a small but real company. Plus thy were listed online as being accredited by the state.

If they were listed under their name and listed their proper location, then go for it. Otherwise I would be nervous of scams

Also, another thing I noticed is that Medlife's campuses are listed on the Florida Board of Nursing website. The AMT Institute location is not.

It's fishy. Super fishy. Also, they copied and pasted another page from Medlife.

So far it seems like the only mention of this school is from their page and their ads that they stuck up on the Internet. They even advertised on Backpage.com. One would think that Medlife Institute would be overjoyed that they are expanding into a new state.

Its real fishy that school they had a contact person for the medlife school as the west Florida medlife president of that school but she never returned any calls and I can't find any students who attended this program

The Florida BON said this:

"Thank you for contacting the Florida Board of Nursing. Any Florida Board of Nursing approved program will appear on the nursing education programs comparative website. Programs that have attained CCNE or ACEN (NLNAC) accreditation are also reflected on the website."

Kind of vague, but AMT Institute is not on there. I don't think schools can just go and open up satellite schools in other states otherwise why would Medlife spent the time to get all of their locations approved by the BON.

My question would be why would they make a website offering Nursing programs if its a scam. Can they actually get away with this. And also the fine print on the website states they provide tutoring to future graduates .

It happens. The major warning sign is that they are not listed on the BON website as being accredited. Unless you get word from Medlife from the numbers listed, I would not trust them. First, the website is a blog. I think even satellite locations have to be approved by the board. Anyone can use wordpress to set up a quick blog and buy a domain name. Copy and paste and it takes 20 to 40 minutes to set up. The email addresses listed on the ads? It's a free gmail account. You can make quite a nice chunk of money through scamming people and not spend a lot. Also you can rent nursing school equipment. My school rented a newer vent for hps.

Plus the Florida BON didn't say try are approved. It's not listed on their website. Maybe maybe it is legit but be careful. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. A lot of students learned a lesson with The College Network.

It's up to you but I would be very leery of a website that claims to be affiliated with a school that has zero mention of them on their website, try are supposedly approved by a BON that does not list them, and they supposedly were in business for years but their track record started within the past year with a new BBB page (don't trust BBB as truly monitoring businesses, they pay to belong) and ads placed online on places such as backpage.com and indeed.com.
