Hi everyone, this thread is for those who recently applied for the Moorpark College ADN Spring 2016 program and would like to discuss the upcoming wait process, TEAS invite/exam, etc.
Best of luck to all of us!
:)
Hey Everyone, I also applied for the upcoming Spring semester and took my TEAS last Friday. My scores were posted early this morning. I didn't do as well as I would have liked, but according to Moorpark's point system I'll be receiving 28 out of the 30 points possible.
That's still insanely good! You must have done really well overall.
As for the acceptances, their site says via certified mail - meaning if we got it, we would have to sign for the letter.
By the looks of last admission cycle's post, they did it that way as well too. Only accepted and alternatives receive the letters though.
I wish it were email, it seems like it would be easier?
Anyway, I spoke to the woman who proctored our test on Friday (I forgot how she is actually involved in the program) but she said there were ~200 applicants for ~40 available spots. They send out ~15 alternate letters. I was exhausted after the test so I'm not entirely sure about those numbers but I think that's what I remember her saying.

You would think they would use e-mail versus USPS because it's significantly easier, but I guess it's whatever works for them /: lol.
I just hate the waiting game and I still have to figure out why Lydia emailed me saying to "check in" with my teas score
28/30 is very good. Don't worry. How are your other points? I also tested Friday. I got 29/30 and I am happy with that score. I'm mad though because in one section I'm only less than 2 % points away from full points. Still not complaining.
I think they will email us by end of October. they still have 2 more test days and all others need scores delivered by Oct 9th. (I think). So we are down to the last few weeks. Hang in there. 😃

Are they e-mailing admission decisions this application period versus Certified Mail? I sure hope they do, something getting lost in the mail worries me.
artusoa, when did you receive the emailing about electronically submitting your TEAS scores? I haven't gotten an email like that yet....oh the suspense game is strong! lol.
I got it last night around like 6pm. When I called this morning she just said that because the scores are electronically submitted, we won't receive an email as an "invite" for TEAS, and the next time we will hear from them is for admission decisions late October.
The suspense game is WAY too strong, haha ):
