Hi everyone, this thread is for those who recently applied for the Moorpark College ADN Spring 2016 program and would like to discuss the upcoming wait process, TEAS invite/exam, etc.

Best of luck to all of us!

Hi there !

I submitted my application the first day we were allowed to, haha. I was too excited.

Now I am really, really anxious for it. I had to schedule my TEAS early because Moorpark's "save the date" ones for their test days conflicted with my work. So I am actually taking it tomorrow morning - and freaking out hardcore!

However, I don't even know when we are supposed to get the TEAS invitations. I just wanted to be on top of things.

I also applied to Moorpark Spring 2016 and just finished a cram course for the TEAS. I was wondering if anyone knows if the test at Moorpark is paper or computer? Also, how many points does everyone have without the TEAS points added in? Good Luck all!

Moorpark offers it in pencil and paper form. I took mine last week though at a PSI test center on the computer and I'm glad I did because it was a lot like the online practice test forms from the ATI study package. :))

Since I already have my TEAS score (85.3%) I can tell you my overall points is 80/100. I missed out by not having volunteer hours or a posted degree because they wouldn't accept working as an in home care giver for autism clients /:

what about you?!

I have:

8 for AS/AA degree,

35 for a 3.65 core science GPA,

6 for my overall GPA

5 for work experience BUT

-5 for repeating a math course 2x-even though I had passed it years earlier and was trying to take it to catch back up to study for the TEAS etc. They are using my first score and these were just Drops. My schedule at work bumped up and I could not handle the load. Did not realize this would mess me up on my points. Dumb me.

2.5 for Life experiences -first time college student in family. or also working during prereqs-either or it is still only 2.5 points.

So I need the highest scores on the TEAS! That is 51.5 points and I can get 30 points for good scores on the TEAS. I took a cram course and I am now scoring really well. I actually prefer the paper and pencil so that is really good for me! I feel very confident about TEAS but am still studying.

Have you heard what the last few years points were that people got in?? I will post my TEAS scores once in.

Ah you have a good amount of points already :)! And no, I have been scouting all these forums trying to get an idea but I keep coming up dry, ugh. Have you come up with anything ?

I really want to get into moorpark. I applied to college of the canyons too, but I live in Thousand Oaks so moorpark is closest.

Also - when does the official "invite for TEAS" get emailed out?

I was told in the office that we get emails up to the night before the test dates. We use the vcccd emails. So I check all the time. lolSept. 25th is the first save the date.

I have my email linked to my yahoo email on my phone so I'm constantly refreshing that too haha >__
