Moorpark College RN Program

Published

Is anyone familiar with the nursing program at Moorpark College? I am taking Micro. in the Spring and then going to apply in the Fall of 08.

OK, thanks for the info. I believe they process the applications in order, so let's hope I either get accepted or a denial letter soon. =)

I will keep my fingers crossed for you to get your acceptance letter! Good Luck ;)

Thanks so much!!

I just got off the phone with Moorpark Health Sciences and I was told that they are STILL processing Fall 2010 applications, but they expect to be completed "very soon." When I asked if that means sometime in the next couple of weeks, I was told, "I cannot promise that." Guess I will just have to be patient. =)

Has anyone heard from Moorpark yet?

Hey! if you send your application for Fall 2010, you should get a reply by August 2011.

Just wondering what the points range for those in either ventura's or moorparks program. I'll be applying next spring....

Thanks!!!

I'm from Central Cali & getting my LVN license soon. I am thinking of applying for Moorpark's RN program Spring 2012 & then move there Fall 2012. What are the chances of me getting in? Those who have been accepted, was it a long 1 year wait to be actually accepted?

I applied to Moorpark in March of this year and just got accepted. I start in January. I was very suprised by how fast I got in. I have 82 points.

Hello, i almost ready to take my teas test. How soon did u get in? And how does the point system work at moorpark? I have 2 friends that just got accepted to start in fall one waited less than a year the other exactly two years. So im wondering how i can get the process to be a lil faster. Thanks

@805 student

I got in in less than a year. I applied in March and I start in January. They take 6 months to proccess your application so thats the fastest that is possible. The points system is 100 points total. If you go on the Moorpark website it breaks it down for you. Just do the best you can in you classes and on the TEAS. Work experience and having an AA also helps. I was suprised I got in so soon. I have an AA and a 4.0 in the classes that count but have no work experience and got a 79% on the TEAS.

@cjoy: Thanks for the info. Basically you had to wait a whole year to get into the Moorpark ADN prog? With 82 points?! I'm surprised. I would've thought you'd be admitted right away with that kinda score.

I applied to VC this fall, hoping to get in Spring 2012. Basically hoping to get straight in. No waiting list. I have 83 points, a B.S., 25 points for TEAS. My counselor said "no prob", but I'm not so sure now...
