Montgomery College Nursing Spring 2015

U.S.A. Maryland

So I figured I would start a new thread for those applying to Montgomery College in Spring 2015.

I had applied to the nursing program in the fall of 2015 but was put on a "wait list" which was not used because my AP 1 and 2 were over 5 years old. I have since taken a pathophysiology class and so now the AP 1 and 2 will be counted towards the four core course requirements. I have a 3.45 GPA, I scored an 82.7 on my Teas, and I have all four of the required prerequisites finished.

I really hope I get in this time or I don't know what I am going to do. I have heard the spring semester is easier to get in which makes sense because you don't have all the high school seniors that will be graduating applying. Anyway good luck to everyone applying!

I didn't take the two anatomies. But I took EN102. And I took calc 2. But I went to the information session in July and the coordinator said spring admissions aren't that competitive so I'm thrilled. you definitely got in if you took all of the priority courses.

their criteria in order is: gpa check, how many priority courses you took, and then your TEAS

Wow!!

Will you eventually take the anatomies?

Or did you take pathophysiology?

Of course! Because it's required for graduation. I'm in my graduating semester at UMD right now. One of my classes is human physiology. I'm acing the class so far so I'm sure it'll help me when I take A&P1 along with the other nursing courses in spring! =)

A&P I & 2 are amazing. I love A&P. Wish I could take them again...I would definitely take them both again instead of Micro. LMAO.

Hey everyone.... I got an acceptance letter today!!!! Congrats to others who have made it in . I will see everyone on the 22nd!

I live in Rockville. You should definitely get your letter today if not tomorrow. We have to let them know if we or not by next Wednesday.

I got my acceptance letter today as well. I am still waiting to hear back from the University of Maryland School of Nursing though. I hope I get accepted there so I can go straight to BSN. I will see you all on 3 weeks. Also I did have to sign for the letter. I have never been this excited to get a letter from the mail-man. lol

MCapplicant, where do you live?

It wasn't in my mail today. I really hope I get it tomorrow (I will have to come home between classes just to wait for the mailman), but if I don't get it tomorrow then I most likely didn't make it in. Trying not to get down about this.

I live in silver spring about 8 minutes from the school.

Does anyone have any idea how many days a week we will be attending classes?

I gotta my letter as well.

It was funny, because when I received the envelope (it is a small envelope) I thought it was a denial letter, because last year the acceptance letter was in a big envelope. So I did not want to open, I was crying... But then I decided to open to see why I gotta denied for -- so it was an acceptance letter. So happy!

I've read in other posts for MC nursing that it's usually three classes a semester (and, of course, clinicals).

Does anyone have the number they called when they spoke to ask about when the letters would be mailed out? I'd like the number... IN case I don't get my letter by Friday, I thought I would just call and ask them if I was accepted or not.
