Montgomery College Nursing Spring 2015

Published

So I figured I would start a new thread for those applying to Montgomery College in Spring 2015.

I had applied to the nursing program in the fall of 2015 but was put on a "wait list" which was not used because my AP 1 and 2 were over 5 years old. I have since taken a pathophysiology class and so now the AP 1 and 2 will be counted towards the four core course requirements. I have a 3.45 GPA, I scored an 82.7 on my Teas, and I have all four of the required prerequisites finished.

I really hope I get in this time or I don't know what I am going to do. I have heard the spring semester is easier to get in which makes sense because you don't have all the high school seniors that will be graduating applying. Anyway good luck to everyone applying!

Did anyone get their CPR cards mailed to them yet? From the Nov 1st MC class.

Wait we have to take CPR? Where does it say that in the packet. I'm just kidding. I completed my class about a week before the orientation. They gave me the card right after the class though so i don't know why you all have to wait.

Nope, haven't gotten my card yet. Hope we get it tomorrow! She said we should by Saturday.

My doctor just put a checkmark by the hearing test. :-/ lol. Hope that's fine.

I don't feel too weird about just having "within normal levels" for my hearing test then haha

LOL. Does anyone know if it matters the date you have your urinalysis and CBC? So, I am the kind of person who does things ahead of time with just about EVERYTHING - even school assignments. So I actually went to my doctor in JUNE and had my titers done. And at the time he also did a urinalysis and a CBC. And when I went to him recently for him to fill this other stuff out, he said I wouldn't need to do the CBC or urinalysis again since I had it done in June. I wonder if that is going to matter. I didn't see anything in the reading that said that after a certain time it didn't count? Hmm...

The instructor from our CPR class replied to my email, and said that the cards will go out by Monday.

also, I think it should be okay if you got some of your things done in the summer.

Monday? She said we should get them by Saturday (tomorrow). Augh.

Thanks for e-mailing her! :)

I'm pretty sure it's good for a year :) I think she said physicals with the urinalysis/cbc should be done annually

Has anyone bought their books yet?
