Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
Marissa - I am so deeply sorry. I hope she received better news with the second opinion. May I ask how old she is?
Andrea - I am nervous too. Not so much that something got misplaced/lost but just the idea of being overwhelmed with a ton of information and coming to the realization of how stressful and intense this whole 2 year journey is going to be. I am sure I will start to doubt my abilities, like I always do, but then in the end I know I will come out on top (I don't mean GPA/top of the class). I think the idea of having a family and being in school full time scares me. This will be the most I've been away and my youngest is still sooooo attached to me. So I worry about finding a good nanny in the time allotted.
I should have made a copy of my acceptance letter before mailing it back to them. DH faxed it to them and then I mailed it to them. Doh!
Kristian - if you've taken classes at MC then you should have an MC number. I believe you automatically get one once you get accepted at MC, in general.
I hope I can find you guys tomorrow. I have your cell numbers so make sure you've got your ringers on in case I get lost ;-)
Marissa, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. My MIL also found out today that her liver cancer has spread...not a good day for good news
Nikki, you can take either but the easiest would be Georgia Ave towards Silver Spring (exit 31) and just stay on Georgia til you get to King Street or whatever street the parking garage is on. I'll have my phone on so feel free to call if you need to.
See you ladies tomorrow! :)
Andrea, I'm sorry.
If you and Marissa need/want to talk about it, I'm here.
Nikki, take exit 31-B (MD-97 S/Georgia Ave toward Silver Spring), go about 2.3 miles to Jesup Blair Drive. Make a left on Jesup Blair. The garage will be on you left at the end of the road. On foot- exit the garage towards King St.-you'll see signs on the walls of the garage. Then go left towards Georgia Ave.
Don't forget to put up MC parking permit. See you all there!
Hi, Im guessing you were all at the Orientation today--goodness that was long! but informative....I just wanted to mention a great book I just finished "Critical Care" about a Nurse's First Year as a Nurse (written by a woman who was once an English Professor and than switched to Nursing)...I read it in one night, hard to put down....
Also, I heard them mention white sneakers? are Crocs still OK? or Skechers?
Hi Tina- Yes we were there. It would have been faster if some people paid closer attention to the info lol! A lot more people than I expected. Sketchers should be fine, but not sure about the Crocs.
Do you girls know what time/day/site you want? I have several picked out. I'm thinking SG, SUB., or MG. Haven't decided on 10 hr or 2-5 hrs.

Hi,
I'm bringing the letter, a pad and pen, and something to read. I never got a MC student ID. I would think other forms of government issued ID should be ok. See you all tomorrow!
