Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Hi girls,

Yes, after a couple of more calls, a lady in the appts and records dept sent the results to me. She was ssoooo helpful. FYI, I had to fax back a patient health records release form. If I had known sooner, I would've gone that route instead of trying to chase down nurses in the immunization dept.

Andrea, I know how you feel about wanting to have more time at the beach. I still haven't made a trip to the pool all summer. Every time I think about having to coat myself w/ sunscreen, I lose motivation.

I checked mymc yesterday too. Yup, still nothing. I did notice that a couple of ppl are no longer in some of my classes.

Nikki, that is ironic. I think MG's been operating as long as Shady Grove.

It's errand day so I'll ck back later, have a nice a day!

just back from a minibeach break....still nothing up to print out? the syllabus, the course handout (there are 2 correct...I know we print out 1, any word on the other? couldnt find it in the bookstore)....I am looking under COURSES, than FILES and have yet to see anything....am I missing something?

still no word on uniforms either...want to get everything sorted before my girls start school (same day) :-)

Hi Tina, I hope you had a nice time @ the beach. I haven't seen anything yet in the course files. I'd think the syllabus and any other handouts will be uploaded to the files within the next wk or so. I cked out the Libraries tab in case something was available there, but nothing other than Teas resources.

Not much there, only resource info. For those who want to ck it out:

-go to Libraries tab

-select course pages by dept

-select nursing in the drop down, click search

I think Nikki had asked Fenton about uniforms and they told her end of the month.

Got my new backpack today but haven't opened it up yet. Like the color.

I'm probably going to Gtown campus late afternoon Monday or sometime on Tuesday to get my ID. Have you gotten yours yet Kristian?

We are leaving for Great Wolf Lodge for a few days later this week. Since it is a "family" hotel I am hoping I can keep my sanity. I've heard it can be insane with kids. And with Lucas' anxieties I hope he doesn't have any issues going in the water and on the slides.

I can't believe school starts in 2 weeks. I'm still not in the right mindset. I wish it started a week later so I could get into the swing of things...getting Liam to day care, Lucas to school, getting all 3 of us ready and out the door for the day, lunches, etc. I'm worried I will be late the first day because I won't have allotted enough time for my commute. I'm worried my youngest will scream/cry when I leave him. I should call her and see if maybe I could do it for a couple hours the week before just so he gets the chance to know her and adjust. I'm totally freaking out about so much. And I've still got tons to get through in the Calculating book.

Nikki, glad you got the backpack w/out delays. What color?

I didn't get my ID yet. I'll most likely go tomorrow or Tue. And I don't know why I keep forgetting to order the ATI stuff...

You're not alone. I think we're all freaking out in our own way. It'll take time for everyone to adjust, but you'll eventually have a system in place. For now, try to relax and enjoy your up-coming trip. You may be pleasantly surprised how smoothly things will go. :)

My bag is red and gray.

I'm afraid to start the ATI module. I want to know if it is timed, graded, etc before I do it. I don't like surprises. So if anyone does it first, let me know.

I think I will be going to Gtown Mon or Tues afternoon. Tomorrow is the anniversary of our loss so we go down to visit with him and his tree in Alexandria. Then Tuesday morning the boys are getting their hair cut.

I like that color combination. I have yet to order the ATI module...again, I forgot about it.

Oh, I meant to tell you guys earlier in case you're not aware...Lisa was back in the hospital due to fever, nausea and abdominal pain. They were suspecting another infection. She's feeling better now and may have been discharged today.

Sorry to hear about Lisa; thanks for the update Kristian. You're in my thoughts today Nikki. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day for remembrance.

I too have not yet gotten the ATI module. This weekend was full of visiting family members so I didn't have much time for anything else. Today I am back to DEEP CLEANING the house. Just washed all the shower curtains and re-hung them, re-organized the linen closets and coat closet, and washed out the recycling bins and trashcans. Not really sure where this energy is coming from...maybe something to do with the 2 large cups of coffee I've already had?! Still need to wash/vacuum/clean out the car and get the oil changed; see about getting a new pair of glasses and contact lenses; and the rest of my daily housecleaning chores. Phew! Better keep that coffee coming! Lol

STILL haven't gotten my parking permit. Why me?? I'm gonna have to call the school and see what happened. I tried ordering another one but it said I couldn't because I had already ordered one. UGH!!! I hate when simple things become complicated.

Two weeks from today we'll be starting classes! Kinda hard to believe...I hope I get back into study mode soon. I've been procrastinating on doing the rest of the homework. Once the house is clean and organized, maybe I'll feel better about devoting so much time to schoolwork...

Nikki, I hope the tree you've planted is healthy and thriving.

Wow Andrea, you're like the Energizer bunny lol! You've inspired me to take your lead. I really need to clear off the dining room table. It's become a temporary desk and bookshelf for all my school stuff and it's been haunting me since.

Yeah, it's a pain when simple things get complicated. I wonder if the permit went to a neighbor and they haven't gotten around to give it to you. I'm trying to get into study mode too. Yeah, join the procrastination club. I've been so bad about starting on the next assignment. I may need a swift kick in the behind to get started...

Andrea - your current parking tag doesn't expires until mid Sept so you still have time to get it sorted out.

We visited the tree today. I guess it looked ok. Not sure since a lot of the leaves had brown holes in them. Probably some sort of tree disease. Hopefully nothing that will destroy the tree permanently. I can't take losing another one.

I've been really concentrating on chapter 2 of Calculating and am just now taking the review test at the end of the chapter. I think some chapters I can skip based on my performance on the "pretest". I plan to bring the book with me on our trip. I figure I can try to knocked out a few pages while Liam naps there (if he naps...we've been bad and skipping it a lot the past few days).

Tomorrow I am getting my id in the afternoon. Hopefully it goes smoothly.
