Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
I desperately need a trim also! My son had one a couple weeks ago, my dog got groomed last week, and my hubby does his own hair lol. I know what you mean about feeling the pressure...but at the same time, it's exciting to think that by this time next year we'll be halfway done! :) (not sure if that helped or not lol!). I'm pretty much done with all my housework that I wanted to get caught up on. I just need to get back into a good routine this last week before school starts. Going to bed before midnight, exercising regularly, eating healthier, etc. I do NOT want to get sick at all this semester so I'm really gonna try to do everything I can to stay healthy. I still need to work on my Calculations assignments but I want to finish the ATI module first. Let me know if you start it, what it's like! :)
You have a good strategy. I'm trying to get my schd. all work out also. I still need to do some more housework, continue with the calculation assign and start the module. Thanks for the tip on the product ID. Did you take a look at it yet?
I haven't gotten sick in ages and hoping to keep it that way. Weird thing is I seem to be better off not getting the flu shot. Hopefully, it won't affect me too much.
No I didn't look at the module yet. I'll do it tonight after I put my son to bed so I can sit and finish it all at once. I get a pretty rough illness usually once a year. I escaped last year, but the year before I got strep and bronchitis at the same time! It kind of sucks to have a kid in school because whatever he brings home, I'm bound to be exposed to. Hand washing, antibacterial, and Emergen-C are frequently done/used in our house lol so that should help keep the germs away! The flu shot may make you a little achy, tired, or slightly feverish for a day or two but nothing to make you miss school I shouldn't think.
So I just took the pre-test for the ATI skills module and...um...yea...it was not easy lol. There were several questions that seemed like there could be more than one right answer. I even had my notes with me while I took the pre-test and...not so good. I'm definitely going to study a bit more before taking the post-test!
Kind of Kristian. They definitely want us to know about isolation procedures and what personal protective equipment we need under certain conditions, etc. Hand hygiene was in there too...stuff I didn't remember reading in the book but maybe I just skimmed over it? Anyway, I stayed up til midnight looking at all the lessons and examples in the module so I'm hoping to do the post-test tonight(SCARED! lol)
Would any of you girls be interested in meeting up on Wed night at The Green Turtle in Olney around 9? My friend Susie (you met her at orientation) will be there and she's going to ask some friends of hers that will also be in the program to come along so we can all meet and chat for a bit. It'd be nice to know some people before starting :)
Pepco had a transformer issue in my area...no power for almost 9hrs and our 3G was down too. Everything came back on 20 mins ago. Wow, life is so different w/out the convenience of technology.
Thanks for the module info. It looks like I'll need to reread Ch. 34...getting nervous about all we need to know.
I will try to make it on Wed. (not sure when I'll be back from VA) It'll be nice to get together.
Hi ladies. I'm back. Great Wolf was ok. It would have been better if Liam was older and Lucas could swim independently. Liam was cranky the whole time, probably from a lack of sleep. And Lucas took on a brattier (yes, brattier) persona. Between the crying, whining, and attitude Dirk and I were done. Actually happy to be home. But Lucas had a great time and did better than I expected, sensory wise. Needless to say, I got zippy accomplished in the calculating book.
So still nothing on MyMC. It looks like they are about to post stuff cause they have folder names there now but nothing in them.
Was the ATI thing timed Andrea? So there is a pretest and a post test for the module? That sucks.
Still not ready for school to start. I feel like I need another month. But I'd take 2 more weeks. I'm seriously worried that I'm just not ready and will fail out because I'm not all gung-ho like I should be right now. I mean, I HAVE been working towards this for the past 2 years. I should be excited.

Hey Andrea, I hope you were able to order from ATI. I ordered it yesterday morning and cked my elearning tab but didn't see anything. I'll ck again today.
I also got my ID and decided to fit in another haircut. One down, 2 more (hubby and doggie) to go. I'm really feeling the pressure now to have all the things completed. Yeah, I wonder why it's taking so long to upload files to mymc.
