Montefiore- Interview Process

Hi all. Was hoping someone could help describe the interview process to me at Montefiore. I am a new graduate, and have an interview with HR this week. Do they hire right on the spot after the interview with HR? Also, if I am hired, I'm curious about what the orientation process is like for new graduates. Any help/advice/comments would be great! Thanks :)

Wow! I hope u get the job. Was it like behavorial type questions? Interviews can really scrutinizing at times.

More random scenarios and expected very detailed responses down to hand washing! Idk hopefully I get it but it was tricky

Mine was easy. I was asked why I chose to apply to the hospital. The NM said why I was selected to come in for interview to the unit and told me about the unit and what the NM is looking for in a candidate, someone whos first choice is Oncol. Then I got to ask questions and was taken to see the floor. I did not have any scenario questions, I do not know if that is due to NM not needing to ask them or if I am not being considered being that I have only recently had new interest in Oncol as most of my exp is maternal/child health. Let's see how it goes.

Do we get considered for other jobs if we don't get this?

I would think so as just because a person may not be the best for one unit, that person can be ideal new employee for another unit. However I do not know how one would go about it as the online application was a general one and not specific to any unit. HR said how they do it after they interview us and decide we can go to 2nd interview with a Nurse Manager is that they email the NMs our resume and then the NMs decide who to call in to interview. Maybe if one does not get one job then can ask HR if they can forward the resume to another department also.

Thats what I was thinking, unfortunately I interviewed with all the nurse managers in the depts I want. I had an interview with all four at once so Im praying this works out, if not Ill just have to start what I was offered

Congrats on your offer at Yale! Yale is a great hospital from what I hear, you would really give it up for Montefiore? Montefiore is good also but if you have an offer from Yale you should not be worried. I just got an offer from another hospital and had my physical and started the background check today.

Congrats to u too!!! Which hospital if u dont mind? Yale is awesome plus my managers are great so I really can't complain. I know a couple of ppl at montefiore who like it there which is why I was interested in the first place
