Monitoring and had a pETh test 5.5 days ago

Published

I drank 2 shots (mini bottles) Friday and took a pETH test the following Thursday. I had not drank before. I didn't know or think about a pETh test. Huge mistake. It's been 3 days and no result yet. Any chance of passing? I know I risked a lot I just didn't think about it showing up for as long a pETh monitors. Thanks

Ridiculous.  Just ridiculous.  How long is the evaluation and what programs do they have in their services list?

So you had to go in for another evaluation and pay for it.. they will most likely extend and try to get more money out of u.. never admit it never helps.. matter fact just don't drink

I scheduled it next week. I said I have not consumed it. I was under the impression that the drink has alcohol but it turn out that I was wrong and it didn't contain alcohol. all my tests are negative too

now see how the evaluation goes. I am just worried for hair etc test. online it seems very sensitive for alcohol even 1 to 2 drinks can show up. anyone knows anything?

Don't worry about hair etg  - it is not very sensitive and positive for multiple heavy drinking episodes.  I know a person who did a binge episode 3 times over 2 months and hair etg was still negative.

Your main issue is what to say in the evaluation - what did you admit to before?  That you drank, were you specific or kept it general?  You need to outline and detail it that you thought you were drinking juice and someone said later it had alcohol in it and freaked out but then found out it doesn't.  Or something similar.  Your peth test is negative, don't admit to anything.

Agree 100%. Follow this advice.

The post above is 100% spot on. No way it is in your hair test. The "Gold Standard" of testing to see if some has used or drank is to get the monitored party to admit to drinking or using. They don't need a test. You told them you drank.

You already admitted to it, so you are going to look sketchy if you change your story. You self reported drinking, then you are going to tell the evaluator you are just kidding and the fruit punch that was actually wine was now actually fruit punch again. That won't go over well at all and neither will admitting to drinking.

I'd stick with the original story and mention the second you thought it was alcohol, you immediately self reported. Your Peth test proves you didn't drink more than you said. Just stick to one story of you had one sip, immediately self reported, and have nothing to hide.

Think you are in Florida. If so do NOT do your evaluation at FRC in Gainesville. Their evaluations serve only one purpose, to ensure you pay their rehab for 90 days of treatment.

Good luck! Monitoring sucks.

you are 100% right. FRC is the one who screw my evaluation for the first time and made me stuck with this program even with my everything negative, only small amount of THC in hair, they diagnosed me of marijuana use disorder. They checked many boxes yes on DSM5 criteria for marijuana use disorder although it was definitely no. I am in this situation because of these scammers

it is 2 hour virtual evaluation. Then can decide to add testing. They gave me 3 persons to schedule appointment with. one was titelbaum which is of course a straight away no. The other 2 also have very bad reviews online. Nobody has given even a 2 star, everyone has given them one star with very bad comments. PRN has the worse evaluators on their panel, even you can find at least a comment of 5 star from a dumb person if you are looking up for a worst restaurant online. And their evaluators are handling people career and nobody wants to give them even a 2star.

The evaluators they provided me for an evaluation has obvious conflict of interest as they are directors of some rehab. I requested them to provide a provider who don't work at a rehab. They gave 2 more and one was having again same reviews. The other one has good reviews online but from his private patients but He charges 5K for an evaluation. So now it is picking up a less evil person from all the list.

Anyone knows good evaluator in Fl?

You really divulge a lot of personal information.  I always worry they read this. It would not be hard for them to identify you based on the specific information you posted. Be careful with that.

Hope it goes well for you

There are so many different on line forums out there, I  really doubt they are bothering to look. But that's just my opinion
