I have a baby and am taking 16 credit hours a semester..so I am SWAMPED! AND, I am so close to finishing...PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY GOOD ADVICE..SEND IT MY WAY!

Prayer always works for me !!!! my mom will be an RN in 2009 and she was in the process of losing her car too. She prayed and God sent her a miracle. Prayer works... just have faith and everything will be okay.

Are there any seniors in your area who could use some home help (grocery shopping, laundry, housekeeping, companion/sitting during the evening or night, etc)? Or an agency who could arrange something for you?
Sometimes, if you explain to your creditors about your situation and exactly what your financial situation is - what you can afford at this time and your intentions to pay them (even to send them 6 post-dated cheques {even small amounts to indicate you intentions}, they will understand and allow more time.
Any evening jobs at the hospital/nursing home?
Are there any scholarships or bursaries that you could apply for - check at your school?
I sincerely wish you all the best.

Could you baby sit? Unless you have someone to watch your child that might be a decent option. With the holidays approaching perhaps a retail job would be a good fit. Good luck.

Check into a companion job at a local home health agency. Many times you will have down time to study.

I hate to sound like debbie downer here, but God is not going to pay your bills. You need to get a job that allows you some time to study on the side when it's slow.

:wink2:Depending on where you're going to school, many colleges have what is called work study positions which allow you to work between classes for an hour here and there for a pretty good wage. Many also help develop skills for future careers, like NURSING! :) also look into mystery shopping it's not high pay but it's better than nothing, but be careful if you are looking at jobs online, because many are scams. Good luck, I'm in the same position, trying to pay for a truck, 4 wheeler, house, and a bunch of other bills on fast food wages because my husband just got laid off of his job. Everything always seems to work out though so don't stress too much. Where there's a will there's a way!!!

Your're brave posting this here! Brace yourself for the onslaught of comments about your fisical irresponsiblity and how you should only pay for your tuition w/ cash!
I'd be looking for some kind of job that will allow you a flexible schedule and maybe something that might allow for some study time as well. THere are some night desk jobs that will allow you to study if you dont have anything going on like the night desk clerk at a hotel or help desk type thing. Are you upside down on your car? Can you trade it in for something w/ a smaller payment? Babysitting sounds like a good one if you have a set schedule. I work FT while taking a full load at school w/ a 3 year old so I know its hard but doable!

This is a hard situation. There's no way that I could ever pay for school with cash so instead I took a year off school and worked my hiney off in a field which I hate but where I also make good money. That allowed me to pay off my car and save a little towards my mortgage. I use loans for the rest of it. There are work study programs at school. Can you work as a CNA full time at night? You can be a home health care aid which may allow you study time. I know that it's hard to find overnight care for your little one but it can be done and is usually cheaper than day time care. Can you sell your car and take the bus? Or maybe find someone that lives close to you where you can share communting costs? Otherwise a retail job on the weekends might be something to consider. Have you looked into getting a roommate? Or roommateS? Or selling something that you own? If you look hard enough I know you can make it! Good luck and keep us posted!

Does this ever sound familiar! I'm working through school, part-time, and it's a constant struggle. Even considered moving back home...
I know a few students who work for cleaning businesses on the side, or just offer cleaning services to friends and family. I did that once myself and it filled up my gas tank at the very least!
Keep your intentions strong, don't give up looking for a job. If you need and want it bad enough you'll find it.

You can try work study if your school offers that program
Sell uniforms (I see others who put up their posters) and this is how they advertise to sell by appointment.
