Tweety that was good you were recognized for your efforts on such a crazy day

Stars hopefully those short breaks will allow you to get some stuff done

NJ22 glad the work on the house is done

Yesterday was nice.  Did the cooking before church.  After church stayed for coffee hour, then went bowling with the over 50 group.  I was just me and the organizer and her 2 adult kids, was a nice time just wish more people showed up for these events.  Rest of the day was fairly quiet, exercised and finished the opera and another episode of Outlander

Today have the doctor after work, we'll see how much weight I gained since the last appointment. Other than that it should hopefully be a fairly ordinary day

Will be nice today, in the upper 60s

Good morning!

Not the best night of sleep for me.  Sometime in the wee hours I took 1/2 mg of clonazepam to settle me down.  It helped for a couple of hours and got up just before I wanted to.
Had a nice visit with best friend and we sat on the beach for a bit.  Was a very nice day.  We're having warm dry days in the mid-80's.

Going to do some meal prep as tomorrow is an overtime day and I need three days of food ready to go.  Otherwise I'll eat fast food.

I think I'm in charge the next three days.  Ugh...hopefully we're staffed okay.

Have been awake for two hours, but still in bed....have written checks to pay bills. Going to bank and grocery store. SiL and BiL are here since noontime, but I haven't gone downstairs to greet them yet. Going to get dressed and go out to take care of bizness. Still depressed. Switched my wedding ring from left hand to right hand, as I am not married anymore. Not looking for any male companionship, but just figured that after 6 months it was time.

Not sure why this part posted a 2nd time,,,,but to continue:

😒 .) I took a Xanax with a cup of hot coffee when I got in, hoping to tone down a bit of the BLAH feelings. SiL said I am probably starting to feel the reality of hubby being forever gone, and that's part of grieving process. Yeah, I keep stubbing my mental toes when I do things like trying to decide what hubby might eat for supper and then think, no, he won't eat that. and then the realization "Oh, he's not coming back!" And I cannot tell him of things I've read which he would find interesting. Oh well. it's all part of life, although NOT my best-favorite part!

Now is 4:20 PM, got an hour before I wake Nannie up so she can eat. I'm smoking again and I don't give a fig about it. Maybe I'''ll go sit outside in the almost too hot to enjoy a good pout. Don't have anywhere to go, there's nobody I want to visit, or talk to,

since I am essentially asocial. I haven't got enough money to splurge on anything; in fact I have <$200 to last the month, except, I will get a check for Nannie's groceries at the beginning of May, and a check for me at the middle  of the month. So there will be enough to scrape by on. No more paperback novels, no more trash magazines, no more spontaneous food purchases that look like they might be interesting. I may take Nannie out tomorrow to run over to Harris Teeter to get some blood-red orange Ginger chews, which I have a slight addiction to.

Nannie is sleeping, tipped over in her recliner, and Momo has calmed down now that she knows I won't be going out again today.

The End of this sparkling post.

Later!

Stars, I am sorry you are having such a rough day. I have cut way down on spontaneous purchases, mainly clothes.  Is there a nearby library that you can get books? I think our local one even delivers to people who can't easily get out and about. I know I can browse and reserve books online, and then pick them at the front. And the library has a  free magazine pile for people to share.

It's sunny breezy and about 60 degrees here. I've pulled out 2 dead roses and transplanted 2 into their place. I think I am going to lose 2 more. Then I fertilized all 35 roses. I chased the vacuum around, dusted (or undusted as Amelia Bedelia would say) and had lunch.

I think I'll make spaghetti for dinner. dh said he was going out this afternoon, so I'll have him pick up garlic bread, which must always accompany spaghetti, in his mind.

I love Amelia Bedelia! In some alternate universe I'm probably a children's librarian. 🙂

I kept seeing ads for a local garden club's plant sale but must have missed it because I'm not seeing the ads anymore. This week is expected to be pretty wet. Too bad we didn't have our garden planted before now.  We are late.

Wishing everyone a good evening and day. May drop by later when I can think again.
