YES! I have used a mom agenda for several years and I love them. http://www.momagenda.com The agenda is a week at glance and each day has a space for you which is pretty large, under that you have four blocks so each child can have a block. I have three kids so I use the other for my dh to know when he will be traveling or working late and then below that is a small box that says "dinner" so you can plan dinner. I have found this is the best planner for my school and home life and i take it everywhere. the website has great forms also.
good luck!
I just use outlook 2007. Put appts in for everyone(each person gets a color) (it syncs with my cell phone too) and also put in tasks like reading assignments, term paper progress, etc. It works for me and I like that you can set up reminders and track your progress. You can print it out too in daily, weekly, or monthly format.
I use my computer alot and always carry my cell so this works for me much easier than an actual planner would.
I've read a couple of threads suggesting specific planners, but I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good one that can be used for school & mommy stuff. I have 2 boys, a very busy and active preschooler who always has school and sports activities going on and then my 1 year old has a lot of check ups, etc. Can anyone suggest something that will work for everything? Thanks! :redbeathe
I use google calendar the same way. Each person gets a calendar/color and I can have it pop up on my computer or send me a text alerting me. Not only do all of them sync with my iphone, but my husband can sync only with his calendar and my daughter only with hers. When they make a change it affects my phone and online calendar too which is very handy.
I have a 4foot by 4foot white shower board divided into a monthly calendar with black automobile pinstriping tape. Each member of my family has a different colored vis-a-vis marker assigned to them, and I write the time and occasion in the relevant square. It works for us, and my older children write their own stuff in. The 6 year old wants to.. but there isn't enough room for his writing.
I also have a planner for work and a planner for school - with black out on the opposite calendar for appointments that contradict with work or study time, and a black line for family appt. I spend about 30 minutes per week 'keeping my calendars'.
It's work - but I work 35 hours per week or more, and go to ADN school full time, my husband works full time, and we have 4 kids ranging from 3 to teens... football, softball, tball, karate, scouts - no one misses anything.
