Hi!
i applied for January intake of Mohawk RPN program. I'm waiting to hear from admissions.
I was told I would hear back by the end of august but that is not the case. So I'm wondering when you guys heard back from there and when I can expect to hear back?
In high school I took uni courses so I added 10% for college. I have an 87.6% average.
For my hoae I got:
aa 56/75 84.46 normalized
ns 45/60 67.87
rc 30/35 45.25
sp 38/45 57.31
via 69/90 104.71
im just wondering what grades they look for competitively and I don't really know how to read my hoae results. thanks for your help in advance!
Any help is appreciated!!!
Hey guys so here's what I know, you will find nothing out about supplies until orientation day as well as clinical and lab dates, however after talking to the girls at the store, your stethoscope can be any kind as long as it has a bell so you don't have to buy the recommended one on the titles Site. Your scrubs are listed on the titles website and they are marked required. As for the book list if it says access code and marked required it is part of the online bundle. There is only a $100 difference between the online bundle and the actual books. If you have bought the books read the access codes that have been supplied to you and do not log on to them until you need to because some of them are only good for 12 months. I bought everything from chapters and used my plum card and I saved bit.
Don't forget you can submit your package with your temporary CPR certificate to get things going but once you have your plastic card you have to submit a photocopy of that.
See you guys in a couple weeks
Ortho, I also have the Littmann classic ii and love it. Seems to be popular among students. If you don't already have a stethoscope you have lots of time. We didn't start using it until 2 months into the semester. The RPN student scrubs are ceil blue, however, they didn't seem strict (any shade of light/medium blue is okay). Remember you need all white shoes. Some clinical instructors are alot more strict in terms of how much colour is acceptable, so it's better to error on the side of caution and go as white as you can possibly find.
I would highly recommend you rent a locker. You will use it daily.
Hi everyone! I'm also starting the RPN program in January! I'm in the B block. I'm wondering if someone can fill me in on what the email re. orientation that PhilVane mentioned a couple of pages ago was about? I didn't get it, and don't want to miss anything I may need to know.
Thanks! and see you soon!!

I Know! I just paid about 450 for the ebooks and one other book for semester 1 ..then I looked at semester 2...and thers so much more! I am going to look into other places to buy the books for semester 2 that arent the ebooks (those seem to be cheapest anywhere) to see what I can do!
