Hi!
i applied for January intake of Mohawk RPN program. I'm waiting to hear from admissions.
I was told I would hear back by the end of august but that is not the case. So I'm wondering when you guys heard back from there and when I can expect to hear back?
In high school I took uni courses so I added 10% for college. I have an 87.6% average.
For my hoae I got:
aa 56/75 84.46 normalized
ns 45/60 67.87
rc 30/35 45.25
sp 38/45 57.31
via 69/90 104.71
im just wondering what grades they look for competitively and I don't really know how to read my hoae results. thanks for your help in advance!
Any help is appreciated!!!
I bought some nursing books from this site. It's canadian and they sell new and used books.

All I have left is my mask fit! The only frustrating thing for me is one of my Certificates that I need printed from elearn will not allow me to enter my name and the date on it is from 2011. Seems more like a computer glitch than anything.
How did your OSCE go? What is involved?
Also in terms of books - should I purchase before school starts or will there be enough to go around if I go in within the first couple days?
Also what did you do during orientation?
I would contact pre-placement services regarding the incorrect date on your certificate. That's odd.
My OSCE went well. It's a clinical examination that you must pass to continue to second semester. It includes assessments (respiratory, musculoskeletal, abdominal), communication, infection control, transfers and positioning, etc.
If you have the means to acquire the books before school starts I would recommend doing so. It's not unusual for them to run out of books (although they do eventually restock - the question is when). Plus it's pretty busy at the store once school starts. Everything you need is at the Health Sciences Bookstore (lowest level of McMaster Hospital). Don't forget to pick up your nursing badges (they have them behind the counter).
Orientation - long, boring, somewhat overwhelming. You will find out what day your clinical is and will sit with your clinical instructor and students in your group. They basically just go over everything and tell you the program is fast and furious.

That would make more sense! Thanks! Guess we have to keep an eye out for the schedule.
