Hopefully I'll be able to explain this in a way that makes sense, but this is how I remember them. It might sound complicated but write it out as you read this and I'm sure you'll get it!First, make a chart with four columns. Label them BIRTH, 2mo, 4mo, and 6mo. In each column, you will have 1 vaccination, 6 vaccinations, 5, and 6 respectively. (I just remember 1,6,5,6).The only vaccine at birth is HEP B. At two months, you get Hep B, IPV, Dtap, Pneumo, Rota, and Hib (6 vaccines). 4 months, you get all of them except Hep B (5 vaccines). 6 months you get all of them, just remember Hep B and IPV can range anywhere from 6-18 months (6 vaccines at 6 months, plus remembering the ranges for Hep B and IPV...this is why I write them first!)Hopefully that made sense. Now I remember the letters H,P,M,D (I remember this by saying Hewlett Packard, M.D. (as in doctor) haha.Hib 12-15 monthsPneumo 12-18 moMMR 12-18 moDtap 15-18 moI remember the numbers by saying that the first three have 12's on the right side, last three have 18's on the left side, and 15s in the corners. Now for 4-6years I remember DIM (as in Dtap, IPV, and MMR).Hopefully that helps, I know it seems like a lot but definitely better than just trying to memorize!

Hi Kisabelle,
Really LOVED your mnemonic - have memorized it now. Thank you! Just so you know, the CDC says vacc are recommended at 11-12 years, not 7-14. Also, I made some adjustments for the mnenomic for 11-12 years (if you want to use it too), with a few capital letters to help distinguish them from earlier childhood vax's: Don'T HaVe MoNey. Don'T - the capital T here reminds me the vacc is changed to T-Dap (IDK what the diff is, but CDC says it is, so I remember it). Then HaVe - the capital V here reminds me this vacc is HPV. Then MoNey - the capital N here reminds me the vacc here is now meningococcal, (not MMR). I just thought I'd note this because it might help others to remember the schedule.
Thanks again, so much!

This is fantastic, @heard1645!
I added varicella to 12-18 months and 4-6 years, so used different mneumonics for these age ranges. Adding varicella to the 12-18 month range the mneumonic can now be HVPMD. Unfortunately this is the human papillomavirus doctor (HPV MD) and you need to remember to switch the P & V so the age ranges are grouped together (Hib & varicalla at 12-15 months; pneumo and MMR at 12-18 months; and DTap at 15-18 months). To remember the 4-6 year schedule, it's the oldest age range, closest to the age to be eligible to obtain a license at the DMV In your city (D-DTap, M-MMR, V-Varicella, I-IPV).
A classmate of mine offered a way to remember the names of the 6 early vaccinations, HepB, Rota, DTap, Hib, Pneumo, IPV: "HepB really does have plenty immunizations").

I did what the previous user said as far as remembering 1/6/5/6 for birth, 2 mod, 4 mos, 6 mos and created DRIP.....HH
Rotovirus (rv)
Ipv
Pcv13
HepB
DRIP.....HH
one year olds get the same ones with MMR, VAR, and Flu added
the way i remember adolescents (11-12 year olds) get Meninginoccocal is because meningitis usually occurs during adolesence
hope this helps

For anyone familiar with Picmonic, I use pictures to remember the vaccines. I couple them with the "major system," which is a way of going from text to numbers (Major System mnemonic technique database, list and generator). These are the mnemonics I used: PCV13
