MJC 2019 application period

Published

Hey all,

While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.

Best of luck to all

I applied to Delta College which is about an hour from me. MJC is definitely my first choice since it's only a 15-20minute drive. I also applied to Merced which is about the same commute as MJC however they are changing they're app process for advanced placement.

When is Merced changing their application? What does advanced placement mean? A MSPAR type application?

It means I go into 3rd semester because I'm already an LVN. They're changing the process for us and it won't start until spring 2020 idk about first year students. I'm guessing that is that same for you guys

For anyone who has submitted supporting documentation, have they initialized the section stated "met office use'" yet?

Nothing yet

Does anyone have any updates to their application?

Has MJC sent out acceptance letters yet? I’m just hoping that some people are accepted to both MJC and Delta, and give up their spots in Deltas program and make their way down to accepting me! Ha! ????

They will let us know on July 1st.

Does everyone have dates next to their documents? And what does it mean if there is not a date next to a document that you've turned in?

you will not see any changes until July first. It means that they have checked the documents you provided and that they coincide with the information you submitted on your application. last year the LVN's did get their documents approved a week before than the date given but for the most part it will not change status until then. I know its nerve wrecking but hang in there one more week and a couple of days left till we hear back.

Did you call the office and ask on this date?

I finally got the green check marks today! All documentation approved! Baby steps...

btw I am an LVN applicant so don’t get discouraged if you don’t have check marks or changes
