MJC 2019 application period

Published

Hey all,

While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.

Best of luck to all

I don’t understand how people are saying 71 was the cutoff to provide documents. I have many friends with 72 points and 71 and none of them were asked to provide documents.

Maybe something was not correct on their applications? Someone on here has a friend with 71 points who got an email. But someone else on here with 71 points did not. So not everyone with 71 points was invited to provide supporting documentation. But it seems at least 1 person was.

I have a buddy that told me he had 71 and was asked to provide docs, that's all I know. Maybe he told me the wrong number?

That's what I was thinking. There isn't a whole lot to mess up, but maybe they didn't claim all the points they thought they had.

That’s what I thought at first but it seems that it might be misinformation. I can’t imagine 5 people I know not getting asked for documents at 72 points. My fingers are crossed it’s not just a rumor because it helps my chances. I have 74 points so I’m on the lower end.

It’s hard to know. There’s so many of us. But fingers crossed for you!!

I had 77 points and was asked to submit documents but I’m not going to since I got into Delta and that was my first choice. So there’s an extra spot for you all maybe?

Do you guys think every person who gets accepted will choose their spot? Realistically, do you believe any people will be pulled off the waitlist? I am worried I will probably end up on the alternate list because for some reason I have a feeling the point cut off is going to be a lot higher this year :(

A counselor told me they were expecting the cutoff to be a point or 2 higher this year, she said maybe 74 or 75 but who knows.... she did say next year it will go up to at least 78. Best of luck to all of u guys!! I'll be applying until February

I would find out if any of the UCs have finished admitting. Some people might drop their spot to go to a university with a BSN program, or just for the different atmosphere/ change of pace.

Is anyone else not able to access the application online anymore?? I went to review it today and it won't let me?

I wonder what is going to happen if people have to print out the summary to turn in today :( I turned mine in already but it would be nice if we were still able to access it.
