Hello guys! I am making this post so that we can talk about our application process ? I have not seen any other post regarding MJC 2021 application period. How are you guys holding up? Any new time applicants?

Hi, how is everyone feeling during this waiting period? Anyone hear an update about when we should hear anything??

I’m not sure when we are supposed to find out. If it were non Covid year, back when the application deadline was the end of may, they would inform the applicants by the end of June/early July (my friend that got in 2 years ago told me that) and then start the program the next month. So, with Covid, who knows. Frustrating that we may have to wait 4-5 months for an answer, but nothing we can do but wait. I was hoping they would let us know sooner, like by April/May, since they know they are taking less students due to Covid and restricted clinical placements. Then they could always accept more students in July if the clinical space opens up. But I’m not going to stress. It is what it is.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I wasn't sure about the timeline as this is my first time applying. I thought the background check and everything had to be done like 6 months prior to going into a clinical setting, so I didn't expect it to be months of waiting. I thought that is why they moved the application period up to Feb. I had no idea the wait was this long ? I guess just trying not to think about it at all is what I'll have to do for the next few months, hahah. Thanks again for the reply.

It’s really unfortunate we have to wait this long! I will probably hear back from the other schools I’ve applied to by this point AND if I were admitted, have to give them my decision! Seems a little late.

Hello everyone! I think MJC needs to step up their game, and be a little more organized. I really hope we find out soon if we are in or not since we submitted our documents already. Delta has a schedule out that states when they would be sending out acceptance emails. I really hope we don’t wait as long as last year ?

I forgot to send in a document so I’m sure mine is thrown out ! Best of luck to you all ❤️❤️❤️

I agree. I could see waiting until April, no more than May. It is unfortunate that a year into the pandemic, hospitals and the school can’t come up with a solid plan about how to handle clinical spaces and requirements. I don’t think it’s fair if we actually have to wait until July to know if we start in August. Frustrating for sure to string it out for 5 months. 
 

Did you also apply to MJC last year? And when is Delta supposed to let everyone know?

Dar, maybe they will make exceptions for that? Like if they see one document of many is merely missing, they could request that you submit it? That’s my biggest worry that I made some small mistake even though I triple checked everything. I much would have preferred the paper application to turn in her copy so I could for sure ease my mind that I was handing it all in.

How were you able to view your documents submitted? The link on my application doesn’t work and I’m trying to view what I submitted again. I logged back into my account where I converted my PDF files into one and nothing is saved I’m not sure what’s happening ?

I checked a week after I submitted and I didn’t realize until much later I had forgot to upload one of my documents. I had it. I’m guessing it just didn’t go through enough to completely verify everything.Lesson learned. LOL

Last year I sent the wrong document to a different school and my application got thrown out the same day. So I’m sure it’s the same for Mjc. They don’t give any extra chances

I asked this same question the week I applied. The PFF compiled doc is not able to re-access by the applicant. I think I’m going to email MJC nursing just to notify them in case it’s not accurately saving applicants’ documents. Being this is the first year they are using the uploading system, I think we should bring it to their attention, especially if they intended for us to view the uploaded docs just as you’re able to view your submitted application. I’ll update you guys if I hear anything back.
