Hi guys! I thought it would be a great idea to start a new thread for those of us who are planning on applying to Modesto Junior College RN program. It would be great if we would all share with how many points we are applying with, this would give us an idea to see what are our chances are on getting in the program. With all the new changes, it is hard to tell what the cutoff on the points will be. I will be retaking my TEAS and hoping to apply with maybe 80 points or so. Hopefully ?????
No idea what it means. I was only saying that there was no date and my docs were already approved. I just know that my docs were approved before anything changed on my application. There was a change a few days after I spoke with allied health but I do not know what the date means for our application. We are all only speculating and do not know what the date means either. I am NOT stirring up any info because I do not know anything. I just know what I was told. They have no new info to give, no idea when they will get more info, and no idea when they will be sending notifications. But my docs were already approved and that she was sorry she could not provide more info. I applied with 80 points to MJC. A friend of mine applied with 79 and she recieved a date a couple days later.
I know we are all freaking out about this but if you remember the application date before this year was always in May and people before then never found out until July if they were getting it or not so to everyone in allied health at MJC this is the same all thing they are used to so they are in no hurry, we will find out in mid to late July just like every other nursing class before us did
I also emailed last week and they said they didn’t have any new information but they were still reviewing applications. They said they were hoping on notifying students soon. I believe we are all more anxious and stressed because of the situation and we know that there could be major changes that could affect us since some hospitals are not letting students in for clinicals. Hopefully we hear soon, this has been such a long and stressful process.

I don’t think anyone is freaking out dude. We are simply having a conversation. I’ve heard a couple JC’s like ARC have postponed there nursing semester till Spring 2021. Seeing if anyone has been able to hear any info on MJC.

Dabullet06 you are correct! According to ***** and ****** they will first verify everyone’s documents then choose the highest 80% then do lottery and finally alternates as they want to give the alternatives a chance in the lottery too. This was exactly what I was told. Regarding that if documents are not approved by this point that it means that we didn’t make it I don’t think that’s correct because I know someone with high points and her application still has no updates. ??♀️ I mean things could Change but that’s what I was told. It seems like they are slowly reviewing documents.
