Hi guys! I thought it would be a great idea to start a new thread for those of us who are planning on applying to Modesto Junior College RN program. It would be great if we would all share with how many points we are applying with, this would give us an idea to see what are our chances are on getting in the program. With all the new changes, it is hard to tell what the cutoff on the points will be. I will be retaking my TEAS and hoping to apply with maybe 80 points or so. Hopefully ?????

They are waiting to see how many spots they have open for clinicals since the hospitals have less patients. Then there trying to figure out if there going to be able accept there normal amount ???♀️ And waiting for the state to give them what direction to go in. I know you’ve guys have been waiting for a long time but this is first time that they have to deal with. Be patient things happen for a reason.

I know but that’s what I got from my inside person. Just gotta be patient and pray that they take everyone like a normal year. Stan State and MJC have different clinical sites that’s the difference. Be patient I know it’s hard to do but nothing else you can do right now.
Again, I am being patient. This is a discussion forum so we can discuss topics. MJC, Stan State students and MJC Respiratory students all rotate through Memorial, DMC, Emanuel and Kiaser. I have friends and family that work at these hospitals and told me that they see students from all these programs.

At this point it is fine if they postpone or delay as long as applicants get their earned spots. I would be fine waiting to start a semester or two out. At least we would hv a spot. But notify applicants now and we can wait it out. It's just the waiting and giving up other opportunities while waiting to hear from MJC that is fusterating. I am taking extra classes this Summer to boost points at STAN STATE for their Spring applications. If I get into MJC I wasted $2700 but it is what it is. I understand that apps use to be in May but that's not the story now. And a lot of opportunities and arrangements have been messed up due to this entire situation. But like I said it is what it is...
