Hi guys! I thought it would be a great idea to start a new thread for those of us who are planning on applying to Modesto Junior College RN program. It would be great if we would all share with how many points we are applying with, this would give us an idea to see what are our chances are on getting in the program. With all the new changes, it is hard to tell what the cutoff on the points will be. I will be retaking my TEAS and hoping to apply with maybe 80 points or so. Hopefully ?????

It's hard to say at this point. There is an applicant with 60 PTS that shows date received, while higher score applicants also show a date received. Then others don't show any changes. It would be nice if MJC made an announcement on when we should expect final selections.

I know, this processes is making me anxious LOL. According to one of my friends that got in a couple semesters ago they only review the applications of the people who got in because there’s no point of reviewing all of them. Hoping for the best, I’m sure it’s going to take a while to review them all if they do go through each applicant.
?I hope that’s not the case. As of what I know they have to look through all the students documents that were asked for documents so that way after they choose the highest points they do the lottery and they have to make sure that everyone that participates in the lottery is eligible and they check eligibility with the documents that were turned in. I got this information from dona days before the application opened, I’m thinking it’s still the same unless they made changes.

I’m hoping that too because mine doesn’t say anything yet. I wasn’t counting on getting in, I applied within the 70’s so I most likely didn’t make the cut, still hoping for the best tho.
Doing that would take too long odds are nobody is lying on their so they find out the point cut off and then lottery people and then just review those applications because it is way faster than having to review 600 of them.. If they find out someone’s points are are not official then they just move on to the next person

Makes sense. I’m assuming since mine hasn’t updated I didn’t get in. Good luck to everyone!!
