MJC allnurses 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi guys! I thought it would be a great idea to start a new thread for those of us who are planning on applying to Modesto Junior College RN program. It would be great if we would all share with how many points we are applying with, this would give us an idea to see what are our chances are on getting in the program. With all the new changes, it is hard to tell what the cutoff on the points will be. I will be retaking my TEAS and hoping to apply with maybe 80 points or so. Hopefully ?????

Lol good point Irene and Natalie. I actually live in Sacramento, so MJC and Los Medanos is the furthest for me. I also will be applying to Delta, but it's closer for me than you guys.

67 and was not asked? Did they double check their junk mail? That's where I found my email.

Yea, they did. Idk it’s so complicated. Mine was in junk as well

I will be applying to Columbia college with 77 points

I heard good things about Delta!

Specializes in CPT-1.

Me too my friend got into their spring course this last year she said the first semester is 5 days a week and even though its a lot she loves it!!

Yeah I have too. Delta does 90% high score and 10% lottery. The local schools in Sacramento are 100% lottery. I'm just applying everywhere lol

I applied to mjc and Fresno and will be applying to Merced. I live in Tracy so Fresno is a 2 hour drive and that would be the farthest I would drive.

Yes same. That’s why i threw my hat in to Hartnell because i figured if i got in no where else and didn’t apply i would just keep on wondering if i had so I’m trying everywhere that i can lol after all i think its only 2 years that I will have to commute and in the end it will be worth it.

I totally agree. I was thinking it's a long drive, but it's either that or stay just local and possibly wait longer.

Yes that would be a long drive but at the end it should be worth it. I am still nervous about that though lol

Lol me too. I was thinking if I have clinicals at 6 am that I'm going to have to leave my house at 4. Not looking forward to that. But, small sacrifice. I can sleep again one day. Lol
