Missed last question/shut down @ 85

Published

I took my NCLEX-PN on Monday this week, that makes it three days have passed waiting for my results. Every day is filled with much anxiety.

I know for a fact that I missed the last question and my exam shut down at 85. I read over and over again on this site regarding that issue. It appears that missing the last question is not a good sign. I do not feel good about the test at all. There were many med questions about psych drugs that I have never heard of and had to totally guess and SATA.

Anyway, my question is, did you miss the last question on your exam? :banghead:

Also I was wondering, if a person fails does it take California longer to get the results mailed out?

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thank you

I was a pessimist in my thread earlier, but just took the NCLEX for the third time today and my results were up this evening. I missed the last question with 80 questions and passed. I'd go into details about that last SATA question, but I figure it would get me in trouble on here. Let's just say I didn't select a pertinent part of that question, missed it, and still passed at 80. So don't fret, even if it seems as though you got a lot of easy, knowledge level questions. Hell, I got 2 questions on dehydration and BP right in the 40's and 50's assuming that's about as low as you can go, but yet still passed with just 80 meaning I was well above the passing line. Hang in there, let this give you motivation.

I feel your pain, I am in CA too waiting results.... TORTURE! Have you tried doing the pearsonvue trick? It is the only thing that has helped reduce my anxiety.

I am not sure what u mean by the Pearson Vue trick. I do not know that California does not particiapate in the "Quick Results" that most states are a part of.

Could you let me know what this "trick" is?

Thank you and thanks for the words of encouragement

Please visit this thread. It will help clarify many things about the NCLEX. Missing the last questions has nothing to do with pass or fail.

The trick is logging into the pearsonvue website and trying to register to take the NCLEX again, if you get a message that says you already have taken the test and to contact your board then chances are you passed if it lets you go through to the credit card page and pay then chances are you failed. There is a whole thread about the trick, lots of good info on the trick. I think the thread is called pearsonvue trick does it work. Look that up and then give it a try. I felt the same way you did Horrible about the test, pearsonvue wouldnt let me register so hopefully I passed. Oh and you are right CA does not participate in the quick results, great state that we live in!

Thank you for ur reply regarding the PearsonVue Trick.

I tried to register as you said.

The first time I tried I put in payment for "mail in." It allowed me to the page that said; send in ur payment.

The second time I tried I put in payment for "credit card." It said you are already registered in our system reset ur password.

Of course I used my real name, real address, and same email. So, maybe I am stupid, but I dont understand. The first time went to payment, the second time it said nothing regarding already takeing the test. I guess I am to assume this is a bad sign. I would just like to know so I can prepare and know if I need to start studying again.

A honest opinion regarding this is greatly appreciated.

Also I appreciate your input.

Thank you

Relax until your results come in and give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Good luck.

It is the "the doubt" that is so difficult.

Doubt I have plenty of.:bluecry1:

Even if the pearsonvue trick works it will only give you a short reprieve as you won't really know until you officially get your results

I dont think you are doing the pearson vue trick correctly, did you log in with your user name and password?
