Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio requires us to achieve a grade of at least a 90% on our dosage calc test to remain in the program. I received and 88% yesterday. The good news is I have one more chance next week to take it again. I just made some stupid mistakes because I rushed through it too fast. I can't know the material any better than I already do. I'm holding my head up and moving forward because I know I will pass it the next time.
What is your schools policy on dosage calc. tests?
I found that for med calculations test you know the stuff; it's just that the mistakes that I made were overlooked or "dumb" errors
due to carelessness or not taking my time with the test. It could be converting the wrong numbers for a ratio or putting the decimal in the wrong spot. Take your time with it and with a score of 88 the first time, you will do fine.
Here are some websites that our instructors gave us. I copied and pasted the problems to a word document and have been working on them all weekend. My test is tomorrow.

First 2 semesters, we have to pass it with 100% correct. Got 3 chances each semester.
In our 4 semester ADN program it was 80% until this semester. They now require 90% but there are 3 retests after remediation. We have a dosage calc test every semester and we also have math questions on every exam. It's kind of an important thing!
Our questions vary depending on what we're studying that semester. We had a lot of IV Push questions 3rd semester and because we did Peds second semester, we had a lot of "is this dose safe?" questions...
I kind of like the math exam. It comforts me to know that I know what I'm doing. :)

We have 2 chances to get a 90%. I am better at math than I think I am, but it still makes me nervous, and I'm afraid I'm going to freeze up and do something silly and fail.
